Love your video. Every streamer already know space age and start with base ready to launch rocket ect. It's very pleasant to be able to see space age like it's really new. Love it.

I don't know if you eventually find this out in the stream, but you are several versions behind. Please update the game! Make sure you yave experimental updates enabled in the "other" settings.

There is the 2.0 update that has tons of quality of life & performance improvements, this is a free update. Then there is Factorio: Space Age, which is an expansion to the game to space & multiple planets with completely new mechanics & puzzles that adds more content that the base game has, as well as elevated rails & the quality mechanic. This will cost as much as the current base game and releases on October 21.

2.0 update is free. It add a lot of QoL updates and reworks space age is a paid (add-on, dlc, expansion) that add gameplay elements and different end goal for free-play mode.

I personally hated the old fluid system, even though it was more realistic, it was not very intuitive. Fluids in general are not very fun to work with. Anything that makes them simple is welcome by me. Dosh in the chat was a nice surprise addition.

The length limitations and the limit on the pump feel very arbitrary though, you are right about that. I still think it definitely is a lesser evil for most players.

When you do your deathworld playthrough, you should limit the mapsize to something arbitrary but big for your world peace plan.

The map won't continue seemlessly, especially Cliff and water generation changed significantly: factorio.com/blog/post/fff-401

Bollocks! I wanted to continue playing my Factorio 1.0 and I'd like to avoid the update for a little longer at one of the next launches. Is that possible? I see no advantage to building ghosts, that sounds like double work" BTW: It is not necessary to be frugal when fighting the biters.

Ghost building hasn't changed/was already possible in vanilla (set pick ghost when no item available in options, or with copy paste function. Pre-bots it's mostly useful to measure out how much space your future base will take, like quickly copy pasting a single furnace line to mark the size of the complete area for later)

You can update and still play the base game. All the 2.0 QoL features are free. The Space Age specific features (other planets, etc...) you can turn off.

I love watching you play factorio, but at the same time can't stand the fact that you go into the console commands on every video to cheat. Even if its just looking at unexplored map.
