In iMovie, I do it by splitting the footage into a clip I want to use, clicking on the Crop icon in the tool bar above the preview screen, and selecting "Crop to Fill". The effect lasts as long as the clip you've selected is.

you can simply use 2 slides in keynote without any transition creating a jump animation or rapid zoom

If you ever do a video about using OBS free screen recording software on a Mac I’d be ecstatic! I’ve watched tutorials on how to fix the video footage looking blurry & how to export it into iMovie without losing quality but can’t figure it out. @@halabasaz315 Yup. I've had it since it first came out, way back when (when it was Mac-only). Started as effects software, then they added the video editor. Like you said, bit of a learning curve. Never really took to the editor, but love the effects stuff.
