Presented in 4K! Throughout the month of November, train traffic levels along the BNSF San Bernardino Subdivision are at all time highs, thanks to the busy Christmas season. Knowing I missed this busy train seasons last year, I traveled up to the SBD Sub a few times throughout the month of November to capture some of the busy train action. I surely wasn't dissapointed with the action and the quality of the trains!!
Starting off at the Commerce Metrolink Station, BNSF wasted no time to send the awesome power my way!! I was there for about 3 hours on Black Friday morning, and caught countless BNSF, Amtrak, and Metrolink trains. Featured trains are: CSX, BN SD60M, Santa Fe Bluebonnet SD40, RBRX 18520, Double Set Metrolink, and AMTK 90208.
Next up, visited the Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs area for a few hours on a beautiful Sunday morning. I visited both the infamous double crossings in Santa Fe Springs, as well as the nearby Metrolink station. Featured trains are: Amtrak "Thanksgiving Block" Train, BNSF "Fakebonnet" leading the B-LACLAC, and the BNSF LACBAR with some awesome vintage power (GP39-2, B40-9W, & B40-8).
Third location, was Buena Park station along the San Bernardino Subdivision. Stayed here with a friend for the late afternoon into evening, caught some good action and some "railroad drama!" BNSF 6603 had a reported leaning container, and they had to stop and inspect the train. It turned out to be safe enough for them to continue onto Hobart yard.
The last location is none other than the Fullerton train station. Featuring endless BNSF, Amtrak, and Metrolink trains, it's no wonder why Fullerton is known to all railfans in Southern California! Stayed here with a few friends on Black Friday afternoon and evening, caught some great action! Featured trains: Amtrak "Thanksgiving Block" trains, AMTK 90208, BNSF SD90MACe, Union Pacific SD70M, and CN 2834!
Thanks for watching!
