Great on-spot review of an amazing book! I received my copy yesterday, and I am blown away by its content, quality and size. If you're a G.I. Joe fan, you owe it to yourself to own a copy. Note that shelf placement WILL be an issue for most people (myself included)!!

Yeah, it's not just a picture book. A lot of reading to be done thanks to the file cards as well as all of the behind the scenes info and interviews. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

I got mine in a few weeks ago and I am impressed with the quality. Really solid job of shipping it too, very protected in the box. I've thumbed through up to the '84 figures. I love reading all the file cards for the figures I didn't have. But also, a few from my earliest acquisitions that I somehow didn't cut the file cards out.

I love this book! I have started putting another book under the cover when its open on the left hand side so that the weight does not put to much pressure on the spine. I have seen some people have issues with the spine separating due to the weight when they are in the second half of the book.

The whole book is a really stunning and informative piece of pop art archival research and historical documentation. Sure, it gets us in the feels, but it's more than just fan service... It's important. Personally, I find the art on the left hand of the Thermos page is some of my favorite in the book.

Agreed. It really does feel important. Just like a file card was important for a figure back in the old days, this feels like vital documentation for any serious GI Joe collection.

@@MichaelMercy the problem with transformers is that it never really stopped. G1, G2, Beast Wars, the Japanese series, animated, Prime, and all the others. Joe has the fact that the classic run lasted 12 years and went dormant before coming back in different size and form factor like Extreme and Sigma 6.
