Love the life underwater. Just snorkeled with squid for my first time this week, such interesting creatures. You're amazing, so happy for you and your family. Cheers mate!

Howdy from Houston, Texas Michael! Very nice finds! I often wonder how you choose your search sites. Are they past or present common tourist spots? Tricky find on what has to be a silver ring! From the style, it looks to be from the 40's. As for the gold, I haven't seen it discolor like that unless it came in contact with a reactant. Maybe something in the clay? And congrats on getting that NEW Husband out of hot water!! Another successful day!

Patron here. Awesome video. All the people cheering when they saw the ring was great! You bring so many smiles of joy on the beach and across the globe to your viewers. Thanks! That chunky ring I don't think is silver. In the close up the surface looks rough and corroded. I'm guessing steel =] See you on the next one.

(Patron) Man that silver ring is a monster. With something like that will you try and remove the tarnish or leave it be? Great outcome for that couple on the beach, you are the man.... I guess you were in a different area this time since I don't remember seeing Cuttlefish (Squid) before.
@bradwelch74253 жыл бұрын
Well done Michael, Awesome hunt and an awesome recovery, those people were overjoyed big time. That ring is certainly a silver, a bloody big silver and that gold has been there for a bit, 18k shouldn't tarnish at all. The gold I dig out of the ground is 18k tested and it's been there for millions of years so it's not gonna tarnish to soon. I got some gold and silver again and a couple more kilos of led and also accidently picked up a stone fish, I was bloody lucky and scared the crap out of me. Be safe mate, I will be in Sydney in 2 weeks, I might give you a bell and maybe tee up a hunt, even if it is just a beach hunt, I know it isn't as good as a dive and detect, which is much preferred. But then again you could be out on a call too, we will just play it by ear. Cheers and keep it real Brad....

Most detectors are not waterproof so be careful near water. Also, most detectors don’t work well in wet ocean sand. But you will have great fun and can find good stuff in dry sand or fresh water shorelines.
