ZBrush has evolved so much from being just a sculpting program. It's not outlandish to predict that 2022 will have rigging and weightpainting.

First they added Micromesh, then they added Nanomesh, now they added Micropoly. Is there a need for Micromesh? Why not combine all into one single option and trim some of the redundancies in the program.

micromesh can put a mesh down the length of a fiber, which nanomesh and micropoly can't do, and if for some reason you only want to render the effect of the instances only micromesh can do that. of course you could (probably, I'm only guessing here, being an armchair youtuber like yourself) make those a button option in micropoly, so maybe they will in the future.
