This is EXACTLY what I wanted. Here I was being dumb and UV Master-ing 1mln poly model and getting frustrated over inability to retain detail... assuming it didn't crash the software.

Can you tell me a little more about your CGMA Class? Do you have something specific you teach or do students just tell you what they want to learn and you get into it in detail??

It's a 6 week course (including week 0 where the basics videos are), essentially the videos for each unit of my ZBrush for Ideation series are what you watch each week, and you apply those techniques to whatever you want to work on; you can work on the same thing over the entire six weeks and applying what you've learned to it, and/or you can do a new project(s) depending on what that week covers. I give 10-20 minutes of feedback per person, answer any questions through the week, then have a 1 hour Live QA on Monday night-

@@MichaelPavlovich thank you but I think I'm looking for something different.

This is great! Could you use Morph UV's along with Noise or a Nano brush with this method to create, say, a nice chainmail texture?

I have no subdivision levels, only dynamesh, which slowly seems to become a problem, but when I hit unwrap, it works first on it and then says "error occurred", can you help?
@MichaelPavlovich

dynamesh is going to change your vert order every time you dynamesh, and unless you're working at an incredibly low dynamesh resolution, it's going to be way to many polygons to effectively UV unwrap. long story short, dont UV unwrap dynamesh, project your details to something with subdivision history: kzbin.infosearch?query=project+all

Do you have any livestreams for sculpting this character?

The closest thing I have would be the timelapse: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqrGmXSohtWZock ; I touched on a little technique here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6fVZHd7rq-iaa8 and here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ27daSQfLiLebs . If I get some time I might do a full series of the video slowed down enough for a commentary / pause and demo type thing, but it might take me a while to get around to it!
