Could You please provide information on what choreographic version this is? From what I've heard about this particular scene, is that Nureyev had been among the first to bring to us this scene, using this music, which else is used later on in the ballet? To me his version has felt most in place; I regret it wasn't chosen also by (or for) such a brilliant dancer as Michal... But besides this, I couldn't agree more, that this is certainly a highlight for the male dancer; an opportunity for expression and introspect.
