Now don`t get me wrong...I`ve listened all of today`s hailed bass players: from Patitucci, Gwizdala, to Wooten, Steve & Victor Bailey, Matthew garrison all the way to Jaco..But thats some shitty, shitty tone coming from Anthony Jackson..and the fact that its coming from a 10 K Fodera it`s a real shame.....I own a 3 times less expensive bass than this ( Bailey Fender 6 string) and its not a big deal to end up with a clean, bright tone live where people can actually hear what you are playing.

Anthony is good, but I think that sound comes out because he is not very sure what he is playing and that's why he plays carefully and hides himself, that no one can hear him :) He's not acquainted with program, not prepared. It's very pity. In this lineup bass is very important and it's not there.

I highly doubt he`s not prepared. He was playing with Michel Camillo and Horacio Hernandez for years. You can check his playing on Lee Ritenhour`s DVD Overtime...It`s uploaded in HD quality on youtube. He sounds much better there, but far from 10K better.
