If you thought you were a great player back then,you HAD to prove it in THAT league. EVERY serie a team had a star player or two that would walk into ANY league nowadays. Yout logic is the dumbest ive heard from anyone that has had a comment in sports... i was discussing today how soccer is now boring because everyone is so athletic.. how can u make up that soccer went backwards with so much more money put into it compared to maradonna days.. does that make sense.. in sprint hussein bolt broke all records.. you would say carl lewis was faster if we didnt have a watch to time them.. in tennis alcaraz breaking serve speed u would say sampras was the best if they didnt calculate the speed.. basketball curry and co hitting 3points like they bouncing the ball where jordan and them didnt hit half of what they doing now... even scoring has gone way up.. so you think soccer the only sports to go backwards.. when u speak be logical and dont be trapped in some nostalgia... matadona playing with the same self would not make it today because who is he running past esp with the game more technical... he would have to way more atletic and that means more injury..

It's sad that he only got acknowledged as a legend when he died, and only now he's getting known and more respect then he got when he was alive. I'm glad that I was able to acknowledge him, unlike the bandwagons that only know him since he died. He truly was a legend, and may be rest in peace. My club also lost a legend today, and I have to say this has been one of the saddest days in futebol. He changed the sport so much, and it's so unbelievable he died so young. Legends never die.

I took a screenshot of his page and he had 6.1 million followers now he's got 7 million followers. Legends don't get honoured to their dead, and people gotta realize they only live once.

@@o.portista Younger generations don't really understand football from earlier periods. Many don't know what they're doing on the pitch or seeing off it. For a start, offside was different, back passing was allowed, no cards nor subs in the 60's, only league winners in the European Cup till the 90's. Different game. Tackling from behind was allowed till the 90's. You require different skills if being tackled from behind. Another thing is equipment, boots, balls and above all, pitches. Surface water, snow, heavy pitches, sandy areas. On one pitch there might be three conditions affecting what the ball did on the floor. The heavy ball required better shooting technique. Many top pros now unable to shoot properly, or use the outside of the boot with power. Messi isn't able to shoot like Roberto Carlos or Koeman, Pele could, Maradona couldn't either. Of the current era, none are in Ronaldo 1.0's level. None are close to Maradona, and none anywhere near Pele. The tactics are different but players aren't as good. There's no Beckenbauer, Santamaria, Moore, Burgnich, Batista, Maldini, Baresi..I could go on. Players now are robots. Take the last Euros, England lacked character against an average Italian team that was nothing to the '78, or '82 teams. There are things young players don't understand, basics. Today's football is about pressing, but how do you press the back pass, The Hungarians invented the pressing game in the 50's..Catenaccio was 60's. Zone and total football in the 70's, asymmetric football in the 80's. For these reasons it takes something special to beat players from the 60's to '90's. That's why players from that era make the best coaches now. Study football. Learn! Listen to what older players say about today's football without dismissal. Above all, play ..not playstation.

MENTIRA TOTAL, no estuvo lesionado "la mayor parte del tiempo" solo estuvo pocos meses fuera del Barcelona por la hepatitis y al laño siguiente por la lesión que le provocó el jugador de Bilbao.. Simplemente Platini era mayor 6 años y su mejor época fue del 82 al 86, el Maradona su mejor época fue del 86 al 90, simplemente porque era 6 años más joven.
