Will never forget this rant. I know Therrien's time ended by being let go in Pittsburgh, but he laid the foundation that got the Penguins their first Stanley Cup win. He got this team committed to playing defense and playing the right way. Dan Blysma kept some of those traits when he took over in February of '09, but took the handcuffs off and let the players be themselves. Unfortunately for Blysma he failed to adjust as teams caught onto the way he liked to play, but Therrien was very important to that cup win in '09.

The Oilers and Leafs would really need a rant like this in 2021. The Pens were a similar team back then, a bunch of highly skilled young players who needed to be told how it was.
