People are often truly ignorant to what animals, especially those that have been rescued, require from their new humans. What you have done for this beardie is amazing! The people who would say bad things about what you were doing are probably the same ones who, if they bought an animal from a pet store that behaved "badly," would return it as "defective merchandise," instead of working with it to help it learn to trust humans again. People today are so quick to scream "cruelty," without bothering to learn what is truly going on in the situation. I just want to say "thank you" to you for caring about this beardie enough to put forth the enormous amount of effort it had to take to gain her trust, instead of returning her to a breeder for aggression, which would have probably meant a death sentence for her in the breeder's hands. Thank you, from those of us out here who TRULY do love the critters of the world!

You're awesome, man. Amazing transformation on this rescued bundle of scaly love. I have a rehomed dragon, myself... wasn't abused or anything, just couldn't be kept up with anymore. Took time for her to bond with me. Wasn't aggressive, just wasn't comfortable at first. Takes time for any animal, especially when their environment changes. But I remember you saying in that first vid "she'll unfortunately never grow out of this"... so glad you were wrong about that bit! She looks so happy.

I've been bitten by pogona multiple times but only because I was hand feeding them. NO POGONA KEEPER I KNOW OF HAVE ESCAPED A BITE WHILE HAND FEEDING!!!

my parents rescued a husky several years back. she was clearly abused because she was scared of and aggressive toward men and had scars on her face from cuts. i was the only one spending every day getting her warmed up to me several hours a day. nobody else bothered to even see her in her cage. as a result she would lash out at my little brother and other men because i was the only man in the house that showed her any love or care. beautiful dog... sucks that we had to get rid of her because nobody would show her any love besides me.
