Funny also how largish lizards like blueys and beardies will brush away unwanted food with opprobrium- 'Nahhh! What's this? Not what I call food' You can cook some food also to make it palatable for fussy eaters. Yeah some people claim 'no cooked food in nature' but even this is probably B.S. Food sometines cooks on the hot stones, rocks in their native environments. Dried, dessicated foods eventually. Would surprise me greatly if lizards didn't sometimes eat effectively 'cooked' eggs in nature.

Sometimes they close the one eye that's facing you to make your hink they dont want it but their other eye is open. Lil tricksters. I love how each beardy has it's own personality, it's so fun to read how they feed about certain foods and activities. My beardies the squishy cuddle type. He likes to be I between two things all squished up against it whether it's against my side and the bed or under a pillow, or on my chest with a blanket and hand on top. Hes very cuddly in general but hes super picky and doesnt really like alot of the foods in the vid. He'll eat collards and some other veggies I lf I leave a bowl out but he wont eat squash.. squash is hard to cut up anyways for me so I dont gotta deal with it

Foodie info incoming, green peppers have a far more earthy taste but you can really only tell when their home grown, otherwise they have to much water. Butternut squash is actually pretty high in sugar but you need to cook it to taste it. And yes there are different kinds of pears.
@Call-me-Al5 жыл бұрын
Huh. I wouldn't call green bell peppers more earthy, not that it's incorrect at all, I just don't really use earthy as a description unless I'm talking about teas. I just think of green bell peppers as far more bitter than the other bell peppers (and also the type I eat the most of because the satisfying bitterness goes so well with a lot of things). Yellow/orange peppers usually have a nice medium sweetness, and red bell peppers usually are the sweetest of them all with often but not always a very sweet fruity flavor. Red pointy paprika peppers usually have a less fruity flavor than red bell peppers but still sweet, and white paprika peppers are this really nice mellow bitterness and usually goes well with dishes you'd prefer to use white peppercorns with over black ones. Edit: ...I have a Hungarian relative. I guess she brainwashed me a lot more than I had realized.

Omg! I don't own a reptile and never will, but I love these videos. This one is my favorite. My daughter would only eat mac and cheese as a child. It drove us crazy wondering if she could be healthy on such a poor diet. Seeing these beardies close their eyes and turn their face away made me giggle! What picky little boogers they are! 🤗

One of my beardies goes absolutely crazy for blueberries. I rarely offer it to them because it’s a treat but it’s really cool how they can remember certain foods and still go crazy for them after not having them for a long time

Quick "guide" on pepper colours: the redder they get, the more sugar they contain. That means the red peppers are the sweetest ones, then comes orange, yellow and the green ones are the ones with lowest sugar amount and therefore tasting the blantest.

Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you, my beardie decided that NOW he’s going to brumate so he’s just a lump at the moment.
@selestielwolf79495 жыл бұрын
Mine doesn't do that. Though he did sleep all day yesterday and today he was up running around. So I'm not sure. He is very odd. He will sometimes laze around for two to three days even if the temp is right in the tank. I would think he had a disease if he wouldn't start running around after that 3rd day of hiding in his tank.
@ingavaickute89955 жыл бұрын
I would check with a vet if he's okay because it's not usual for them to brumate at this time of year .
@selestielwolf79495 жыл бұрын
@@ingavaickute8995 I was told brumation in captivity depends on the heat levels of the tank. My beardie doesn't brumate at all and I keep his tank the same temp all year. I was also told if they are going to brumate they will do it regardless of what you do
@toshinouu33065 жыл бұрын
Inga Vaickutė well since they dont live outside, the rules of the wild dont apply. it depends on the heating/lighting etc not the season. theyre inside animals.
@ingavaickute89955 жыл бұрын
I'm just telling that because A LOT of people mistake brumation with other things that can end up sadly for their beardie .
