packing is actually one of my favorite parts of travelling! i think i just love the planning and the organizing aspect of it. i'm generally pretty minimal so i guess that helps with not worrying about the weight and not squeezing stuff in. i think picking out everything also makes me imagine the trip and kinda daydream about it

As someone who worked for a veterinarian for many years. One thing I learned is dogs don’t really have a sense of time. Weather you are gone for an hour or 3 weeks they are equally happy to see you when you come home. Enjoy your trip and done worry about Ms. Butters.

Make sure you’re allowed 2 check-in bags each for the European flights, too. Often times this is something for the intercontinental, long haul flights only - happened to me before 🙂

We do have all the beauty necessities in Europe so don't pack too heavy. You always can go to a beauty shop in Paris and buy anything you forgot! Enjoy your trip, can't wait to hear about Finland!

Wow…that was an epic pack! I hate packing and the worst part are shoes and toiletries. I inevitably either pack too much makeup or not enough. I do, however, love unpacking. I do it immediately when I get home, no matter what time it is. I can’t wait to unpack all of my treasures from my trip.

My stepdaughter married a Norwegian, so now we travel 2x/yr to Norway (in the Arctic Circle!). Then to somewhere else in Europe, often a couple places, including somewhere warm. It’s not my ideal way to travel, but in the end I always enjoy it. Despite the temp changes, we pack no more than a carry on and a personal item each, for two+ weeks. I wear my bulkiest things on the plane - boots, coat, cashmere scarf, etc. I bring way too much makeup - and then I add more at duty free. 😂 Enjoy your trip, Michele! You will love it. ❤

A very sweet and delicious Bistro in Paris is, Le Bon George. The owner is a delightful man. You need a rez. Walk up Rue de Martyrs (very near the restaurant) and follow it all the way up to Montmartre. OR, go straight to Montmartre and eat the most delicious roast chicken at Le coq et Fil (open for lunch and dinner). Those back streets of Montmartre are off the beaten track from the tourist crowd that march straight up to Sacre Coeur. Rue Des Abbesses has some very cute shops and one of Andrea Ali’s fav beauty supply stores is there.

Yes, I am also crazy, but I also lóve éverything about packing/travelling! Including cubes, the vision what to take etc. Word of advice: always wear the most bulky items (boots, puffer, scarf etc) on the flight! Have a gréát time!! ❤

I'm sure you are having a wonderful time. I hope all of your luggage made it to each destination! That's always my biggest worry. You described me and traveling anywhere to a "T" ! Give me a Time Machine that will take me to my destination in 3 seconds! As far as packing, I put luggage in the guest bedroom and start packing 1-2 weeks ahead. We had a Westie we'd find sitting in the middle of the open luggage! She wanted to go too 😞

For long term or bulky winter travel highly recommend vaccum seal bags, at ABNBs and hotels you usually can ask for access to a vaccum to reseal.❤ Double check on the number of bags you can check on European airlines as well as the weight metric vs imperial

I live to travel. I enjoy packing, I envision what I’ll need and why and it helps me get excited for the trip. I’ll put up with the airport and the plane. I unpack at the hotel. I also unpack as soon as I get home. Usually the same day. And im not a type A sort of person.

I live in Copenhagen and can confirm, that you can absolutely wear flats! Copenhagen is one of the best places for restaurants in the world, so depending on your preferences, there are so many possibilities.

So funny - as I’ve gotten older, I definitely feel like you about the travel experience. Give me a teleporting machine and I just step in at home, and step out at my destination with all my stuff. But…I dislike packing for the opposite reason as you. I enjoy the actual packing part (usually) - it’s like a jigsaw puzzle. But I hate the deciding…trying to guess what future me might need for any circumstance that might arise at my destination. Ugh.
