When I was 7 years old, I was traveling with my mother and younger brother to Thailand with a layover in Copenhagen. We missed our connecting flight and had to stay overnight and the next day. My first (kiddie) roller coaster ride was at the gardens and I remember that experience fondly. Love seeing your European adventures and thank you for sharing it!

Copenhagen is actually one of my absolute favourite city in the world. When I was living in Berlin, I wanted to move there. It is such a clean, fresh, healthy place to live. The language is a real barrier, so hard to learn. Your videos are outstanding and a real treat for the eyes, thank you Michele.

As I expected, this was ethereally calming and restorative. One thing I love about your vlogs is the music you choose - it makes such a difference. (I almost feel we should all walk around with headphones on, with a soundtrack accompanying our daily lives.) Isn't it amazing what great English they all speak? I am struck by Scandinavian's ability to speak English virtually like a native. And, of course, they have English everywhere for the world to have a lingua franca. Loved the museum. Such a beautiful city. My favorite country of all -- epitomizes what I think evolution meant for us in this century (sigh). I feel at home there, especially since I studied Swedish and it sounds exactly like Danish to me. Anyway, loved the places you picked and sincerely thank you for taking us along.

Copenhagen looks so pretty. One of my bucket list destinations, inspired by a friend of mine from grade school who used to go to Copenhagen every summer when she was young. Her parents were born and raised there. She always spoke of Tivoli Gardens and how it was like Denmark’s version of Disneyland. There’s also a Lego Land there.

I love Copenhagen so much! I’ve been 8 times. It was never on my list, but I made friends with Norwegian, beer loving guys, who suggested I come with them to a beer festival. 1st trip, I was sold. I’ve even taken my 18 year old nephews there. They were born and raised in France, and now they love Copenhagen as well. It’s not exotic, but so comfortable and livable. Hotels like reservations for breakfast, to supply and schedule staff to take care of patrons. Scandinavians also minimize food waste. Too late, but the pharmacies in Copenhagen have homeopathic treatments for jet lag. You probably are dehydrated, missing some minerals. Spending a lot less money, the food in Denmark, especially Copenhagen, is a total treat! I have to go back soon! Oh, touristy food isn’t bad in Copenhagen. The only thing you shouldn’t get is cheap pizza. It’s a city with so much great food, you don’t need a special list to be impressed. So, the special restaurants are apparently mind blowing.

Jetlag is tough! I read that it takes 1 day for each hour of time difference (for your Circadian rhythm to adjust). However...I find it much easier to adjust when we travel west (because you gain time). When we return to Zurich after traveling to the US is so hard! It was even worse when we lived in Uzbekistan and Dubai (bigger time difference). Only thing that works for me is to make myself stay awake, and get as much sunshine and water as possible...and still it is hard. I loved this video! Copenhagen reminds me a lot of Zurich (although the city is much larger). I love your travel videos! Cheers from Zurich!

You should go back in the summer. We now do Scandinavia in the summer to escape the heat and crowds in other European cities. I don't like amusement parks but Tivoli in the early evening is really lovely, very organic. There is an excellent modern art museum & sculpture park outside town (Louisiana Museum) worth checking out. Barr used to be the old location of Noma and I believe Redzepi is a partner. Yes, we also thought Sticks n Sushi was a trap and is now one of our favorites. There's a branch in London which is not as good. Thanks for the Esme recommendation, it's now on my list.
