Thanks for the heads up . I am going on 4 years with Duratracs on an 18 Tundra. They have worn really well but have had minor vibrations and was thinking of going back to Michelin LTX. Your input is much appreciated

They have a new duratracs called the RT plus added 3 ply to the sidewall & snow rated. I ordered a set for my F350 off road. If you ordered them make sure they are the RT. Thanks

I just got a set of Apollo Apterra AT2 tires about two weeks ago and can't be happier. They're about 42% cheaper than the Michelin LTX Trail. Not expensive but very grippy, puncture- resistant (3-ply), quiet, and Apollo is known for high mileage (UTQG 650 A A). I'm glad I got Apollo but we'll see. I don't live in the USA so I dunno if you have Apollo out there. Not as famous as the bigger guys but still fairly big and very competitively priced.

OEM tires that come on the truck are not the same as if you bought these tires off the shelf. They change all sorts of parameters to make for a nice test drive and that’s it. The tread depth is usually changed as well as the compound.

My stock tires had cracks and slits in them everywhere too, not to mention they wore horribly. Were completed shot by 35k km's. Disappointing for sure but that's just another reason to swap them out for some 35's 😎

Lol. We ran Michelin defender ltx ms on my bosses duramax and tundra. Both used heavily daily. Use the duramax too haul daily and use the tundra hauling and off roading almost daily. Unless they changed or these are a little different I have nothing but positive too say about those tires. Other people will say the same who ran the trucks including him. Multiple times they where so bald they had wires showing wasn't even really safe too drive and never once got a flat. Believe me or not that's the truth and I have no horse in the race. Like I said unless their making them cheaper or their a little different maybe but the ones we used where awesome!!

The Michelin XLT tires are way cheaper. My brother bought a set for 750$ if you know the right place / people. The KO2 would cost double the price. The Michelin XLT are way better for gas mileage and the road. I have rode offroad probably 500 km with the Michelin tires without any issues. I don't know maybe I don't drive too fast or my trails are nicer. I did ride threw some sketchy parts last year.

I’ve purchased the Michelin Agilis cross climate for my Tundra and so far am very happy with them. They have the 3 peak mountain snow flake and are 10 ply I believe. They are more of a highway tire than off road but were rated quite good for off road.

😂 come on, man, you and I both knew they were junk in the beginning when you first buy your truck. You were just happy for it, wanting it to do well, for the price of it, it should have come with better tires for sure, I knew you were going to make a video of a flat tire 😂 but can't wait to see what you replace them with.

I have gone in the woods on a sketchy trail for firewood plus dirt roads while fishing and hunting. I am at 9,200 km so far no issues at all. I don't know maybe your trails are much worst? The trail on the family farm of my grandparents is rough with some exposed big rocks. Definitely these tires aren't the most offroad. The sidewalls aren't protected but they are decent offroad for me and great for the road.

I have never regretted switching to E load rating, even on my Grand Cherokee. K02s. K03s are coming soon and I'll switch to them next. I have never had a puncture in them in 200,000 miles of on and off road use, and they are the only tires I have ever had shrug off a framing nail. I though for sure it had gone straight through, but instead it was just bent and ran under the surface.

@@workplaytv You can get a 17-19 model with 50k miles for 55k, and it’s spotless hardly seen any rain here in the southern states of USA, just import it, to CA. In fact when I sell my trucks most of the buyers come from the north for a clean new used truck.

I’d just sell and drive the f350, you beat them up, rough roads, etc you can’t keep a really nice truck. Save money also, one less truck, insurance, maintenance, etc. also one truck to do it all, the f350 is basically same size as the tundra…. Been there with many trucks and all my shit was always in the wrong truck when I needed it!

Just another short coming on that new Tundra. I realize it’s a wear item and easily replaceable but you shouldn’t have to spend $1500 for new tires as soon as you purchase a brand new “off road” truck just so that you can drive on gravel lol.

Yeah I wouldn't own Shitelin tires ever again they are crap. They had the reputation 30 years ago they were junk. Sidewalls soft as butter you can tear out a sidewall driving over a round rock. Tried them a couple times over the years they had to replace them because of issues with belts breaking. Ya they ride nice because of the soft sidewalls. I'm a Toyo guy now Nitto which is Toyo. I learned stick with 3peak snow flake tires it sure makes a difference in the winter time. I learned mud tires make a truck look beefy and tough they handle not so great the tire noise gets old real quick. Learned read the reviews do your research. Tires today are not cheap.
