Brandon teams up with the Michelin and the Gnarly Routes crew to see how the new and improved Starcross 6 tires handle through the diverse terrain of Price, Texas.
The trails Brandon and the crew tackled had every combination of terrain you could imagine. They rode through snow, a good bit of ice topped rocks, deep sand, rocky hill climbs, etc. And, most of the trails were hard-packed underneath with a nice dusting of sand on top, which I’m sure you can imagine is not really a recipe for traction. On top of all that, when they started riding on the first day of this two-day ride, it was 17 degrees…and yes, that’s 17 degrees Fahrenheit. With the wind chill, it was said to feel like 0. Needless to say, the conditions weren’t the best for riding dirt bikes nor were they the best to showcase the level of traction and performance of a new tire. Just got the starcross 6 med soft, and after mounting I realized the rear is mounted backwards...but seems like its gonna run just fine. And I can reverse it in about 30 hours and get another crisp edge

I have a question, why do they make a Starcross 6 Mud tire in a 19” only ? I race harescrambles in northwest pa and 50% of our races are muddddy. Would love a dedicated mud tire. I run 5 mediums but mud season is M5B territory. Running South Jersey sand im sure the Starcross 6 Mud would be tits

They look like excellent & capable tires. I’d love to get a set. I am from Texas, and would love to know where, exactly, this episode was filmed. I looked up Price, Texas, and it is definitely NOT where this was filmed. It looks more like the Big Bend region, but not exactly. Rock On

brandon, you can hold down the shutter button on the iphone and capture continuously

That used to be correct, however, on the iPhone 13 Pro, holding the camera button down actually takes you into video mode. The new phones have a click and drag feature which works very well. But, with the gloves and running over there quickly to get the shot, I felt it was safer/easier to just pound on the big "capture photo" button like a caveman. Cheers! -Brandon
