I think there must be something comforting for all of us to have the upper chest hugged....you do it with books, I do it by hugging pillows or laying on my stomach, and there are people that sleep with a weighted blanket. There is even a tapping exercise you can do on your chest to relieve stress. Next time you're around family, just ask for a big hug! So pretty normal if you ask me!!!

Weight/pressure to alleviate anxiety is 100% a thing! There are weighted blankets, weighted jackets, and even weighted jackets for pets. All to help with anxiety.

I don't comment a lot on videos, but I just had to today. It's so evident how God is letting everything fall into place in your life. Such a blessing to now live close to your family, in the same building as your sister, having best friends now move to TX, and I'm sure so many other blessings we do not get to see... you are a true testimony of how God moves mountains during hardships and makes them somehow turn for our good. Congratulations to your sister & cousin! My niece graduated from A&M a few years ago with the same degree (Bach & Master’s combo), took her CPA exams, which were super difficult & then married a year later (fall 2020). She is working herself silly at Price Waterhouse (70 hr weeks)-ugh! Quirks: 1. I don’t close cabinet doors/drawers all the way. Never understood why I have such an aversion to the sound of closing things made of wood. When we built our house my husband installed cabinet door/drawer delays on everything in our house. Too bad they’re not on my clothes dresser. 2. Screech a little after a nap/sleep to “wake up”. 3. Make a winding up/down whine during an exhale when I’m tired/overwhelmed. It’s known as “The Tallant Whine” -my maiden name & my dad used to do it). 4. Won’t eat things that are weird textures. Ex: won’t bite down on a whole grape because it reminds me of an eyeball. I can eat the cut in half, though. Incidentally, my teenage son has all the same quirks except my last one listed. 😬

I live in FL and one of our interstates is notorious for changing what side the exit is on so occasionally you'll have to cross multiple, busy lanes if you're not expecting it. My weird quirk is I won't go until all lanes are clear and I'll say "cha cha real smooth" and cross all at once 😅

Weighted blankets are great! But I will say, the turning the water on is not a great habit. If you feel uncomfortable going to the restroom in quiet, then take your phone an play some music. My weird quirk is that I need to take a shower before I sleep, because I like my feet to be wet. If they’re dry, I can’t fall asleep. So weird, I looked it up and other people have this too.

When I was in middle school I took a typing class, and to memorize where the keys were I made a game for myself where I practiced by typing out my thoughts. My quirk is that now I subconsciously type out my thoughts by tapping the correct fingers. Sometimes it's hard to stop!

Loved this vlog and I also refer to people's quirks like, "it's part of their charm." 😊💗 Our similar one is the no alcohol one. When thinking about it I notice that I address or acknowledge people every time they enter a room or if I enter a room, I even do it to my dog. 😅😂🤓🐕💖 Also, when I sleep next to my husband and my previous one, I sleep behind them on our sides and I hook onto them tight like a little koala bear and I do that for the majority of the night...they do not seem to mind and learn to love it after a while. 😆😜😁 The blue shoes were not my favorite on the stand but once you had them on I thought they were adorable. I used to have a thing about not liking even numbers so when I would watch TV the volume always had to be on an odd number. So if I needed to turn it up or down it would always have to be up or down in even number increments to keep it on an odd number. I only recently broke this habit.

I don't know if my loved ones notice this but if have fidgety hands so I will unbend paper clips if I see one, or twist the paper of straw covers and then tie them in knots. I also have a twirl a pencil if it's in my hand. So basically lot of fidgety hand things. lol ETA: have you tried a weighted blanket? You might really like it!

Hi Michel I like the loafers and I feel they look nice on you. Also it’s funny you turn the faucet when using the bathroom, I do the same not sure why if it is that it helps me relax the sound of the water running or if it helps me feel more comfortable when I go I thought I was the only one that did that I guess not😀 I have something similar with the weight On the chest for me to fall asleep I need to feel some weight on my body a heavy blanket. As for the quirks, I do a similar thing when it comes to other people's food. I also have a lot of allergies and I'll ask to smell things, but I'll also ask the person to take a bite while I watch so my mirror neurons can fire while I watch them eat it. Glad I'm not the only one weird in this way!

Um, combine two of your quirks and you've got one of mine: I literally do the circus music when I sit down to pee. I'm not kidding. I think it started when I worked with kindergarteners, and they are so silly and crazy. I'd step away from "the circus" to take a bathroom break and it'd just naturally come to me. Sometimes I do it in public just to see if it'll make anybody laugh!

The weight on your chest is actually more common than you think. They make weighted blankets to put pressure on the chest and it helps with anxiety and stress. I either sleep with a weighted blanket or a heated blanket. Also, I can't sleep without a body pillow.

My main quirk is that I fiddle with my long hair a lot (mostly when I am nervous or stressed). I don't pull my hair out I just fidget with it, run my fingers through it and twirl it around my fingers.

One of my quirks is I've memorized where the letters on each number are when dialing on the phone. So sometimes I'll randomly convert a word into numbers. Completely useless but it is something that has stuck with me since the 90s.

I talk to the drivers while I drive (they can't hear me of course). I say things like, "What are ya doing fella?" Or "ok, fella, what's going on here?" My family pointed that out to me once. I also use song melodies to sing what I need my kids to do when they aren't listening well. Like a Little Mermaid song and sing, "I need you to pick up your things and take them to your room please." And I'll sing about all the things. Or something like that. Also if I smell a weird smell I've been known to crawl around on the floor trying to track it down.😂

MICHEL! You should totally look into a yoga weighted sandbag. Put a few drops of your favorite scented essential oils in the sand and you can drift off to sleep and let the weight and aroma destress/calm you! It's an actual thing lol!! And super affordable!

I have coeliac disease too ( uk spelling is different to American), I smell other people’s food and get them to describe how it tastes, I also look through restaurant menus and decide what I would have ordered if I could eat normally.

It's not uncommon to need the extra pressure. My daughter will lay on her boyfriend when he is having a panic attack and hold him. There are different weights on the weighted blankets. Your so cute. Love watching your videos. Stay strong girl. You got this.

Your chest pressure quirk isn’t a weird thing!! It’s actually pretty common and normal. I have the same love for chest pressure and it helps me calm down too. A lot of people tend to love it because of the calming it brings. I believe it can relate to a lot of disabilities and anxiety people; in helping them the most. So in conclusion your not weird for loving pressure on your chest! You can try a weighted blanket or stuffed animal to get even more pressure on your chest if you would like. I do that and I love it so much!
