If you're having issues w/ the rug and dust allergies, you can do a rubberized foot on your bed supports instead. There are some that come in a sheet or circles w/ adhesive on the back like stickers and ones that are like little coasters.
@AutumnForest333 жыл бұрын
Yes! We use those for chairs, bottoms of side tables, anything that could scrape the floor. But I can see how they could also be good for allergies!

Love how the apartment is coming along! Quick tip / suggestion - hang your curtains higher (1-2 inches from the ceiling) to give the room more height! Also make sure the curtains touch the floor if you do raise them up (you may need to replace them but it’s worth it for the higher end look! IKEA has great affordable curtains)

Your house is looking so cute! For your plants I suggest the Planta App. It tells you when to water, if that plant is getting the right light, when to fertilize. It's great! I believe the droopy one you got is a raindrop peperomia or a pilea peperomia (it's hard to tell from video), it looks like it may have been overwatered. I would let the soil dry out before watering again. I would put the fiddle leaf in the den next to the tv, it looks like a better spot for him. And with allergies those large leaves collect dust so you may not want it next to your bed. I hope all is going well!

For your Pilea Peperomioides houseplant (Friendship plant, Chinese Money Plant) ....bright indirect light and let it get a little dry before you water it. The leaves will start to droop a bit when it’s ready for water. They also ‘sulk’ a few days when they get moved but she should perk up. They don’t do well with direct sun because they’ll burn and don’t like to sit in wet soil. But she should love your bright window as long as you don’t drown her with liquid love! Good luck with your beautiful new home! 🍀

I am sure the sidewalk probably went to the garden area, it's an older home and everyone had gardens to help cut costs. Fire pit or even a digging area for the dog would be great! All my dogs have always loved their play area where they have permission to dig, bury things and climb!

You can paint the cable to match the walls and it will be less noticeable. Make a trip to Dollar Tree to check out storage containers and drawer organizers. They have some good items, though not always in stock. Don’t overlook the soft sided bins. And at $1.00 each, you can always replace them when you find the perfect pieces. You mentioned a chaise for your office - in my experience with a chaise, I found it was not a very versatile piece. I wish I had bought a chair and ottoman instead. I wound up giving away the chaise just to get it out of my way.

Your house is so beautiful! I'm still in awe of the amount of the backyard space you have. Also the pilea peperomioides in your office should be fine there as long as it doesn't get direct sunlight. They do well in bright, indirect light but full sun will burn the plant. Water once a week when the top 2 inches of the soil is dry and it should be happy!

Some "basic" plant care tips from someone who has over 40 of them :D ... Rather underwater your plants! The most common mistake is to overwater. When plants get too much water, the roots start to rot and then there's no turning back. The roots are dead. If you underwater your plants, they dry out but will be way more likely to perk back up! :) Therefore pots always need drainage, so excess water can run out (and they don't sit in it!). I like to water them under the sink or in the shower :) Another common mistake is placing plants where they look pretty and not where the environment is best for them. Each plant has different light requirements. (Some want direct sun, some enjoy evening sun, some want to be very close to a window but without getting direct sun, some are okay with a space that is not as bright...) Also if a plant gets less light, they need less water. If a plant is in an ideal place they are likely to need more water because they photosynthesise more and grow faster. Most plants need to adjust to their new surroundings. So be patient if after you've brought them home and had them for a few days they start dropping leaves, get yellow leaves etc. They come from an environment that was pretty ideal, and they need to adjust to different lighting/humidity/water etc. Hope this helped! :)
@whitneyhannah5223 жыл бұрын
Is that a pilea? Mine is crazy tall! Don't water until completely dried out, pot with lots of drainage and indirect sunlight!
