I try to be really intentional about not paying attention to people's flaws, and as much as I tried, I was really drawn to your nose after the damage was done. It was very significant, and with your job requiring such constant use of your face, my heart really went out to you. I'm so glad you found a surgeon who did such a beautiful job on the surgery itself (the recovery... ehhhh, but I digress). You were beautiful before the 1st, after the 1st, during and after the staph, and you're beautiful now, but feeling beautiful adds a different kind of self-care, and a different mental state, and it manifests in much of your life. Your beauty has only continued to radiate and grow over this past year. I'm really happy for you, and hope you continue to feel as beautiful as you are!

I’m an autoimmune girlie (IBD and RA) I also have had MRSA in the past. To be honest, when you announced on your channel that you were moving forward with this second surgery post MRSA I was terrified for you. Truly. I couldn’t even watch your channel during this time leading up to your surgery. Obviously I was just basing this off my own experience being immune suppressed and with active MRSA… but I am SO glad you overcame it and recovered!

You look beautiful, but I remember feeling so terribly sorry for you when you were going through all that (your poor mama) because it looked so painful and then when you said they had to pull out stents from your nose🥹, seemed unbearable. But you did it, came out beautiful, and you’re healthy and strong. I appreciate your video and review, but I just have to chime in about two things you said based on my training as a hospital pharmacist: Guidelines do not recommend anti fungal medications as prophylaxis in an immunocompetent patient on antibiotics and your surgeon or pharmacist should’ve warned you that constipation post-op and especially while on opioid pain medications is incredibly common so monitor closely and gentle laxatives can be used while on opioids to prevent constipation.

I am about 6 weeks post op from a breast reduction-I feel your pain when it comes to the rib incision to harvest cartilage to build up your nose. I have what they call “anchor” incisions- and it looks exactly like you would think (they start with taking off the nipple, resize the breast, and then stitch all the way around the nipple to the bottom, then cut straight down and then side to side on the under side of the actual breast, not the abdomen, and it looks like a boat anchor). I had a giant ace bandage-like compression wrap for several days that gave me so much more support than i realized. I only thought I had an easy time moving around until the surgeon took it off. I still dread car rides. Between the seat belt and South Carolina roads I’m sure i get funny looks holding them so they don’t move. I know the start was a bit rough for you but it really has healed so well! I’ve also had 2 rhinoplasties when I had sinus surgeries and sneezing was hellacious! When they pulled out that packing-holy crap. When I woke up I kept asking them to take the tampons out of my nose 😂😂😂 I wish physicians will give more info and options for constipation, especially if using narcotic pain meds post op since they slow down the contractions of your digestive system that move everything through. Since I’ve had a few surgeries now I always suggest for people to start a stool softener, such as miralax prior to surgery to get ahead of it. Your surgeon did really well making it fit your facial features and it looks so natural

Thank you for being so candid and informative. The anesthesia does slow digestion and the pain meds caused me to have elimination issues. Stool softeners were my saving grace, alas I learned this after the fact. Blessings

This may be a big ask, but would you consider doing a video on how you determined what charges were billed incorrectly for your hospital stay? I have an autoimmune disease so I am a frequent flyer in the hospital. I asked for an itemized bill once and found it super confusing and honestly just didn’t have the energy to fight it. But it sounds like maybe you did. So any insight you could share into that process would be greatly appreciated!! Hope you enjoy your time off!!

the cheesy smell is most likely staph! thats what staph smells like, but all different forms of staph live all over our skin so it's not necessarily MRSA, maybe just normal skin flora.

I got introduced to your channel (now subscriber) from your rhinoplasty video. I am almost 8 months post op rhinoplasty revision and I was also under for 7 hours. I had a septoplasty also. Arnica before the surgery was included within an excellent regimen my doctor made sure I followed and also arnica post op. I had minimal bruising …. Also had the stents, which I definitely did not care for at all! Quite the experience. I’m so glad you didn’t get MRSA 2nd time around. ❤ thank you for sharing your experience! Also, one thing that helped me was mini ice packs for my face after surgery. Felt so good on my face! Lots of qtips too for your nostrils!!! Make sure to have those on hand.

I remember I had a cold when I gave birth to my youngest son via C section, so I remember the brutal torture of sneezing! A friend of mine told me that if you rub your tongue on the roof of your mouth when you feel a sneeze coming on, it will keep you from sneezing. It worked & I was so grateful! 😊

Hi Michel! Just confused about the doctor "covering" expenses as doing so exposes him to liability claims and is very unlikely. If he did, you might reconsider sharing that info as it could set up expectations for future patients and put him in an awkward spot.

That was a hard surgery. I had sinus surgery which was nothing compared to yours. I remember having a terrible smell and he said it was blood clots so took them out and that was so painful. Your nose looks great and healed great. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I had a gastric sleeve myself. One thing that helped me with gas pressure pain is walking. Not like a power walk, just like a slow shuffle around the house/ward

I had a septoplasty in March and my throat was more sore than I’ve ever had with any other surgeries.. and I’ve had 7 hour much more complicated surgeries before.. so I was surprised. And it was much worse than the pain from the actual surgery.

Your nose looks perfect!💛 Did you have breast implants also? My 24 yr old daughter wants to have it done and has Autoimmune disease so I don’t think it’s a great idea. Also, do you have any other Autoimmune disease or health issues other than Celiac?

The stints were horrible 😭😭😭. For me, personally, that was the worst part of rhinoplasty. I'll never forget bursting into tears when they pulled them out a few days later. Very grateful that they didn't have to do any skin grafts for mine 🙏. And yes, the lack of movement afterward was ROUGH for me too, but I was told that it was because I was taking Norcos after and that it's a known side-effect. I would probably not take Norco again 😂😂😅😅. Edit: I agree with the others who mentioned that this nose looks like it was made for you. It's very natural-looking and flattering 🥰!!

I scar a lot. In April i had a double mastectomy because of triple negative breadt cancer. They used the glue on my mastectomy scar and the scar in my armpit from the removal of the cancerous lymph nodes. The maste tomy scar goes from one side all the way under what was my breasts across to my other side. These are the smallest line wise scars i have ever had and i think it was because the used the glue. Hope this makes sense i am currently in the middle of radiation and my brain is pretty fried.

Zofran will constipate you. The last three c-sections I had I refused zofran because I’d rather be nauseated than constipated. It’s a trade off for sure. You may prefer constipation though if you hate being sick to your stomach.
