I think Riley and James' realationship works because they ballance each other out. Riley needs someone to help her calm down when she is stressed or taking something to seriously, and James needs Riley because he needs someone to tell him when he needs to take something seriously when he's not.

These are SO DAMN COMFORTING. Nostalgia is so fun for me, and seeing you react, and cringe and laugh and be silly, and have it in a format where we can join in, it’s just amazing. Ok I know you said that people were going to yell at you about the Riley and James shouldn’t be together thing, and I’m here to do just that. What you said there is the EXACT point of their relationship. Riley is very detail oriented, almost too much so, and James is often too laid back and not caring about things. They make each other better. James helps Riley relax and have fun sometimes and Riley keeps James on track and makes sure he’s taking things seriously.

Two Things: 1) Your acting rant is perfection 👏🏻👌🏻 2) I think Riley and James could work if they balanced each other out. My longtime partner and I are pretty different. I am very detail-oriented, but tend to overdo that and stress myself out over the small things. He's a very go-with-the-flow type person and is really good with seeing the big picture. He helps me realize I don't have to stress about every single detail humanly possible and I help him to be more detail-oriented when it really matters. I think having differences like that can work as long as you're not trying to entirely change the other person, but instead helping them where you can with the skills you're good at and they aren't as well-versed in (if that makes sense).

Another thing I think is that Eldon didn't actually like Emily or maybe even Michelle. I think he liked Emily because she was 'hard to get', and after all those years he moved on to Michelle, maybe he thought it was good that he finally got her but the happiness wore off. He then dated Michelle, which was great and all but he moved to Talia, and by that time he had matured and actually liked Talia whereas with the other two relationships I think he didn't really know what he wanted and so he couldn't make decisions properly. Idk I think he was a little dopey in the first seasons.

I remember i was like 8 and saw the next step on tv with first episode (lucky girl) and since that day, i just love it. I remember how i was enjoy while dancing with the ending song omg. Then a couple years passed and i thougth "hey there was the next step thing what happened to it" and find it on youtube. Now i'm 16 and still watching it for almost 5 years. I guess i know the every simple line in the first episode. I'm kinda obsessed with tns and i just love it. Thanks to it, i started to dancing.
