Michelle & Louise Mulcahy at University of Limerick Harp Day 2021

We teamed up with the World Academy of Irish Music & Dance at the University of Limerick for a collaboration featuring the incredibly talented Michelle (harp) & Louise Mulcahy (uileann pipes).
They perform 'Bean Dubh an Ghleanna', 'Tabhair Dom Do Lámh' and three reels: 'Devanney's Goat' / 'Little Jimmy Kiernan's' / 'The Sailor on the Rock'.

When I was in Secondary School at CBS Sexton Street, Limerick, late-1960's, I was actively involved in Limerick Students University Project Committee (LSUPC) agitating for a University in Limerick. We travelled out to schools like Mount Trenchard and Bruff to drum up support for our ideal future in higher education. Sadly, I'd gone off to UCC before Limerick was granted UL under the stewardship of Dr Ed Walsh. What a great tribute to the efforts of LSUPC that Limerick now has a proud University providing a platform for local talent the likes of the Mulcahy Sisters. Hup!
