Jenna Bush is a great interviewer. She is sincerely interested in other people, and she has an open and welcoming heart. Michelle Obama is also open, and I am loving that she can speak more freely now that she is no longer first lady. We are all more alike than we are different. This interview proves that.

I agree! As a woman, I never warmed up to Michelle Obama, but this interview made her more endearing to me. She is really cute too. Looks a lot younger now. Jenna has come a long way. I agree with you that she is a really good interviewer now. She looks so much like her mom.

When people ask the question who would you most like to have dinner with dead or alive. I always say Michelle Obama. She is grounded and understands who she is and why. She is a sage for woman of all ages, And she knows how to have a good time!!! Jenna Bush Hager asked the best questions. The ones we all want to know the answers to. She also understands what it is like to live in the WH and the public eye.

I’ve always found the former First Lady to be open and available to others. Her sense of humor is fabulous and she was a good example as a loving parent. You may recall Former First Lady brought her Mother to live in the White House. Her sense about the importance of family and regard and respect for others was always a flattering character attribute as well. Also apparent was her deep commitment to President Obama as both the leader of this country as well as the sincerity for being his wife. It was always clear he was an important priority to her and he was her man.

Not just other cultures. We've never had a woman President, Vice-President or even White House chief of staff in the US. Sure, we do invest in women, but we still have a long way to go to break the glass ceiling, which is what they both agree with in this interview when they emphasize how even today most women are brought up to feel "not good enough" aka the imposter syndrome. Michelle Obama's analogy with 100s of cuts is a good one imho.

This was a great interview with two great women. It really just looked liked two women chatting it up. Jenna did a great job and you could see a genuine interest on her part which was great to see.. Mrs. Obama is so relatable. Love and miss her. She is such a great role model to young girls/women everywhere. I'm looking forward to reading her book. Haters are going to hate. Their petty nastiness towards Mrs. Obama says more about them than her, especially other women being so hateful. It's hard enough to be women in this male dominated world. The world would be a different place if women supported each other and stopped being so catty and petty towards each other.

I always knew both have a clear understanding of the life they have chosen to live. And we need to learn to extend grace to these people. We have no real clue what really goes on behind those doors 95% of us would buckle under the pressure. I may have not agreed with their politics. But always admired her intelligence, class, and work ethic.

@MisSamIvee
@MisSamIvee 5 жыл бұрын
Kevin Madden not to sound insensitive, but I think you missed the point of what I was trying to say. Single parents do not have anything to do with what I was talking about. Unless you are referring to JFK or Lincoln’s kids that has nothing to do with that I was saying. If you read what I write I specifically said presidents kids. I am not referring to the general public. LoL
@kevinmadden1152

I appreciate your reply, although if you are presidents kids it is more of a plus than a minus,the benefits will outweigh the drawbacks dont you agree.
@MisSamIvee
@MisSamIvee 5 жыл бұрын
Kevin Madden I think you are still missing it. If you are not aware the interviewer is a former president kid. Which is why I made that original comment. She is interviewing a former First Lady. I am not arguing if presidents kids have it harder than kids of single parents. Every single person in life has their own struggles. If we start a contest of “who has it worse” then we both lose. Once again I think what you are saying has nothing to do with my original comments.
@kevinmadden1152
@kevinmadden1152 5 жыл бұрын
Your original comment says you OFTEN feel bad for presidents kids. That is giving too much empathy to people that you or I will have anything to do with.
