I don’t want the ACA dismantled. I grew up in Indiana in the bad old days of being rejected for insurance because of pre-existing conditions. Yes asthma & diabetes are pre existing conditions. My brothers and father support VP Harris for manyreasons. However, reproductive care and safety for women are critical to me and my family. My brothers are married and cannot imagine watching their wives suffer while dealing with challenging pregnancies recently my sister-in-law had a stillbirth .however fortunately at this time we live in a state where we’re protected. That doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to be protected forever if Trump enters the office. Vote blue

@ He wants to defund the school lunch programs. How’re those kids gonna eat now? How does that play into feeding the kids? When all the food we get from overseas is tariffed, the companies will pass on the bill to us… meaning grocery prices are gonna skyrocket. “Oh we’ll just…make the food here.” Except… he didn’t support the farmers…so we have decreased domestic food growing ability due to farms failing. And… we have less manufacturing companies here because they’re still over seas and things don’t move by magical finger snaps… it will take years… to build factories (as he’s kicking out millions or workers… I mean legal and illegal immigrates) and to get the companies to bring their companies back here. What I’m saying is.. if you don’t have the money now… you’re not gonna have more… money when the prices go up.

You weren't fined. It just cost more if you signed up later instead of on time. There was a penalty for not having health insurance coverage at all because the state and Federal foot the bill for those who go to the emergency rooms with no health coverage. To get insurance companies and medical facilities on board we needed as many people as possible to sign up and make the system work. Right now, we are dealing with the Trump/Republican attempt to privatize our healthcare with "advantage plans." Once you're on one, you can't go back to the Medicare system. Yes, the monthly premiums are lower but the reality is your Medicare money goes to the insurance company advantage plan and they determine what and if you get healthcare, not your doctor. I watched as people were sent letters from a doctor saying the office would no longer take the advantage plan. It was sad. Sat next to a woman who had to pay $50 everytime she went to the regular doctor, which is great if you only have to go once or twice a year. But then comes the surprise of steep copay for hospital stays and specialists and having the advantage plan say, "Nope. You don't need ICU. We aren't paying for it." Other countries have health insurance for their citizens. They may pay a little more in taxes but they keep saying it's worth it to know you will get treatment and meds when you need it.

@ it’s not a little more in taxes and they have worse healthcare than the U.S this has been proven multiple times. Have you not seen Canada offering to “suicide” its citizens who need healthcare or wheel chair equipment ? Or the months long wait lines for simple issues like a broken leg ?
