I'm not as old as Pfeiffer so the horror I watched wasn't exactly the same. Movies like Evil Dead 2, Phantasm 2, and Puppet Master 3 where regular viewing for me as the Beta videos were reduced for quick sale as Vhs won the entertainment market. One of the films that deeply effected me and I counted myself profoundly lucky to watch its movie channel premiere and record for many later viewings was Savini's 1990/91 remake of Night of the Living Dead. I thought it was a layered film I'd later attribute many alternate meanings, but only much later in life, it was obviously only a kick ass entertaining movie as a teenager. I enjoyed What Lies Beneath, it wasn't societal like perhaps I perceive The Turn of the Screw would be, or long and drawn out the way perhaps George C. Scott's The Changling would be considered. One of the last great films with Pfeiffer and Ford before they would inevitably get too freakin' old. They have a large theatre in Fort Worth Texas where you eat at the table while watching a film on the big screen, it is very near the well known Kimbell Art Museum, I was fortunate enough to see the 90's film Wolf there starring Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and James Spader, a very good film.

Is that why she took on the role in Dangerous Liaisons?

Harrison Ford did good in this one, in contrast to Jack Ryan, Indiana Jones, or Han Solo
