My Tapestry Crochet Grid Tutorial

I finally made a tutorial on how i design my tapestry crochet projects! I know that not everyone had access to the same programs i use, but a lot of people asked how I make my tapestry grid crochet projects, so i just thought this video could be helpful to anyone who might be curious :)

there is a grid brush in procrete and you can change the size of the grid with the brush sizer and then you can do the drag and drop. you just have to be careful to not lift up the brush when trying to fill the page with a grid.

This was so incredibly helpful!! As someone who has only started tapestry crocheting (and attributes the desire to even learn to you and your fab pieces 😊), it is so awesome to see how you go about it. I was using graph paper which is fun in its own way, but for bigger designs it seems like digital is the way to go!

I like using the app Knitting Chart on my tablet for colorwork, it's also not free ($20 I think) but it does all the things you did (create and adjust a grid, drawing on the grid/converting images to pixels, and highlighting/tracking row progress/making changes as you do)

if you set the pixel grid layer as a reference layer, you can just drag and drop the colours into each square on a different layer! i don’t know if i’ve explained it the best but you could look up how to use reference layers in procreate. it’ll save you from having to colour in each square individually :)))

You don't have to draw all the lines!!! Brush>texture>grid (colour over the whole screen to make the grid) Lock layer 1 Set layer 1 to Reference Add layer 2 Drag & drop colour into the squares in layer 2 Hopefully that saves someone a bit of time!

How do you convert sizes to the grid? Do you just know your gauge for so many crochets in cm/inches? Love the video really helpful! ❤

I typically use the same brand of yarn for all my projects. So after i made my first project i use that as a reference :)
