Love this workout. I’m 9 months out from pelvic floor surgery and was ready for a more advanced ab workout. I love the modifications you give if I feel the need to ease up some days. This is perfect thank you!

@@michellephysio one more question, is this type of short core routine safe to do every day. I realized I was over doing kegels and want to make sure I can’t overdo these and cause more harm then good.
@michellephysio
@michellephysio 3 жыл бұрын
@@debbiehunt7584 Yes you're right on overdoing Kegels it doesn't help at all. You could start these exercises with the number of reps I show here daily. As you increase your reps up to 10 for each exercise then ideally 2-3 times a week with a rest day in between, all the best Debbie!

I had complete perineal tear (4th degree tear) during delivery. I had perineal reconstruction surgery 2 years ago. I avoid sit ups, planks, crunches since now they cause pelvic pain. I do 10 minutes kegels which keeps my pelvic muscles flexible. My question is can I do this Ab workout right after I finish my kegels routine?
@michellephysio
@michellephysio 3 жыл бұрын
@priya manke your body's been through alot. Do you split up your Kegels throughout the day? This will be more effective than 10 mins continuous Kegels. I'd be inclined to do core training when your pelvic floor muscles are well rested so they work effectively during the exercises rather than immediately following your Kegels when your pelvic floor muscles are fatigued. I hope this info helps, al the best! 🙏 ❤️

@lisaann5177 Hi there, there are many potential causes of sciatica hence manyHello there different approaches to treatingHi there, great question, thank you. There are many potential causes of sciatica so there is no single exercise approach for this condition. In terms of deep core abdominal training, yes this is often part of comprehensive exercise rehab for sciatica. Best to commence with basic deep core abdominal activation rather than the more advanced exercises in this video. These beginners core abdo exercises are a better place for information to start deep core abdo rehab with correct activation in this video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKSrZmCnlpiAn80si=qZnscTBkmmPPRTgt and the beginners routine here kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5fSiGWGgNqar80si=iffZsm53SJgzABio It’s always best to see a Physiotherapist for assessment and individualized exercise prescription if you can access this type of treatment. Hi Claire great question! This really depends on how good your deep transverse abdominal muscles are working. If you’ve been training those and they’re working well then yes progress to intermediate (in description below) and then these. If not go back to basics and start here How to Heal Diastasis Recti FAST| The 5 Best PHYSIO Ways to FIX your Gap and FLATTEN your Belly kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6rLlamNhtSFg6c Hope this helps 🙏

Hi Michelle, gonna send this onto my sister 😊 I have an unrelated question if you are able to answer - I feel like I have a really short/barely there perineum. Never given birth or anything, but may have a prolapse (slight bulging into vagina from back wall?) I haven't yet got it confirmed or had a smear test yet so I just don't know if anything is abnormal. Just wondered if the barely there perineum isn't normal? It just doesn't look the same when I compare ect. Thank you!
@michellephysio
@michellephysio 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kat nice to hear from you! Women all vary and without an examination of your perineum I'm so sorry I can't say. Best to get an examination and you'll know for sure but do know there is a lot of variability in women apart from one thing - we all retain fat in the labia across cultures too no matter how thin, I think this is a primitive protection thing perhaps. All the best!
@Kat.....

@@michellephysio thanks for replying Michelle 😊 I feel very ashamed and embarrassed to go get it checked but I know it's important to also.
@michellephysio
@michellephysio 3 жыл бұрын
@@Kat..... I know exactly how you feel, many women feel this way, you're not alone. Kat there is absolutely nothing to feel ashamed about, rather feel proud that you are being proactive and looking after your health. Most doctors examine female patients every day and it's so routine for them that they don't think twice about the examination. See a doctor you feel comfortable talking to about this issue, perhaps you have family members or close friends that have an understanding doctor they feel comfortable with that they can recommend. You're doing great looking after yourself! 💗
