What a haul this week. Michigan beat TSDS and Nebraska for Mangham and with 10 starts at free safety last fall, he recorded 53 tackles, four interceptions, one tackle for loss and one fumble recovery. Amir Hall stuffed the stat sheet with 57 total tackles, 13 pass breakups, five interceptions and a forced fumble As for Walker he appeared in 23 games with the Vols, including 12 starts, as he recorded 89 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, seven pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception in his two seasons in Knoxville. Just what Michigan needed to help continue the beat down of (TSDS) The Softies Down South.

This is HUGE. Been saying all spring that secondary depth was the biggest concern outside of QB; especially after moore went down. These are exactly the type of portal pickups they needed. I kind of have a feeling that this defense might be even better than last year. A guy like sanristal, who seemed to be involved in every play, is nearly impossible to replace with a single player, which is why this depth is so important, and IMO the last pieces needed to make them elite If they get good QB play from whoever starts, this team is going to be very, very good and able to compete with anyone in the country.

QB has me concerned. I'm personally leaning warren just because his skill set fits better with this offense. But the backfield should be elite again this year. Sure, it's pretty hard to replace a guy like Corum, but edwards has already proven he himself, especially in big games and mullings is a beast. I think the combo will be able to make up for the production loss especially if mullings is as good in short yardage and gaol situations as I think he's going to be.

Donvon Edwards can also do some work in the passing game and we got 1 of if not the best TE duo's in the country. Plus I except to run the ball at a 50-60% percent usage esciapply if Orgil is the starter we are pretty deep there even without Blake Courm

There are still people in the Detroit media that are pushing a narrative that Michigan isn’t utilizing the NIL and portal as they should. It’s odd. And while their NIL philosophy will make it harder to get elite 5 star guys, I think it’s better to keep a healthy locker room and a team with a strong bond. Having an 18 year old pulling up to practice in a 200k car before they’ve proven anything is going to backfire on teams. Guys that have proven things at the college level are going to make far less just because of a flawed HS star system.

This has been an issue long before NIL. It’s because it’s cold as shit and you have to be smart. We had a 5 star running back who was academically ineligible for severe games and never panned out. You never hear of an academically indelible player in the SEC. Also going to the warm weather beaches and babes sound alot more enticing that snow cold weather and sweaters

We might do a rotation of game management (Tuttle/Warren) and RPO (Orji). As long as the system works, we don't *need* a single starter to carry us. We just need to maintain ball control and downhill attack, and we'll be back in the playoffs.
