Nice buck. Deer camp is so different for everyone. I enjoyed watching your setup. My deer camp is a 4 mile hike up the mountain, set up a regular tent, and sleep on the ground for a week. I need your setup, haha. Thanks for sharing
@JBOutdoors14 күн бұрын
@@adventureswithken1983 I based my set up off some old timers that hunted the upper peninsula, but focused more on a single person setup. The old timers would stack bunks in the tent and pack as many people in but I like the idea of comfort. I can appreciate different set ups!

Wow! That's a great buck! Congrats! Nice camp setup too, the only thing I'd add is a 10x10 pop up canopy for a porch and some scrap carpet outside the door. Looks like a great time!

Thanks for the suggestions! I wished I had something outside the tent like that bigtime after tracking so much in. Next time I’ll learn from it and be prepared. Thanks for watching

Oh boy this is what I needed to see. We're doing a bow camp next year. I'm curious to which tent that is? I like that setup. Congratulations on your 1st deer also that's a dandy!

@@jeffalden6769 thanks! The tent is an Ozark Trail 10x12 wall tent. You can buy these on Walmart.com. Next year I plan to have a small cabin to do the same thing and go out even more. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed

Nice video. Stormy Kromer! I like to wear mine and represent Michigan. Unless you accidentally brought that spider with you from somewhere else, I assume it was a wolf spider. Hopefully anyway. The brown recluse would be rare I think. And definitely unwelcome in the tent! Anyway, nice buck!
@JBOutdoors14 күн бұрын
I love the stormy Kromer! It was way too warm for it but always gotta represent. After more research that night they were definitely wolf spiders, 🕷️ thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciate the kind words

Why wouldn’t you back in ? And 4wd ?
@JBOutdoors11 күн бұрын
Got excited to set up camp, made a mistake! It’s all good I had everything I needed to be in the woods for up to a week and could have gotten out of if I needed to. I put the truck in 4wd as I came down the hill as it’s all greasy clay. I don’t like spinning and making a mess if I can avoid it.

Try some Dan-O's original seasoning. It works on anything. I like it better than Tony Chachere's.

you've never hunted obviously. lol especially in the UP. our winters are usually too harsh, most people dont even see bucks.

My area has been really warm up until last week. Warm temps can alter feeding schedules to make deer move when I’m not able to get out. Every season is different, it happened for me this year.
