Michigan Musky Fishing Opening Week (My biggest musky yet)

Gotta love chasing the fish of 10,000 casts. Musky season just opened here and Michigan and we went out for the first time in search of a mega. I ended up with a decent 38" which isn't my longest yet but this fish was by far my heaviest musky to date. Cant wait to stick 1 45"+ this year hopefully.

Nice catch! Just don't hold the bigger ones vertically like that and don't pull them back and forth in the water so much when you're reviving them. A nice tail wag side to side oughta do the trick. More time in the water makes for a more vigorous release!

Nice fish! I tried all spring to catch one here in Nebraska. I didn't have any luck, and as the lakes here warm up I'm starting to feel like its not going to happen this year. Good luck, and stay safe.

Supppp dude. I catch most of mine on bucktails. Fishing for them in the summer really isn’t that good but spring and fall can be super fun. If it’s hot outside make sure you don’t keep them out of the water for more than a few seconds because they die super easy if you do 👍🏼

I usually never target them but spinnerbaits and crankbaits are solid. I catch a lot on jigs too while bass fishing

Team TBQ5 are you sure that's not pike? 50 muskie in a day would be legendary lol pike are much more likely to catch that many. They look very similar are you sure they are actually muskie
