Michigan Part 4 | Iron Mountain

Shot in a weekend up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in a small town called Iron Mountain.

I left Iron Mountain in the fall of 1997 and my last visit home was in 2004. It took me the better part of a decade to realize that Iron Mountain is a gift and a sanctuary for those who cherish it. Very few places are as straightforward and true. Iron Mountain is one of the few places that the rest of the world has overlooked, and this is a true blessing. To those of you that have never left know that you are living in a paradise that most people dream of as their eternal reward.

I grew up on Bugni Island with my grandfather who built the road and bridge out to it . what a place to spend my first 18 years.

Ah, my hometown (six days till I can go back for break). This video is a great representation of the natural beauty Iron Mountain-Kingsford has to offer...however, we certainly are more developed than the video let on. :) All the same, if you're watching this and thinking, "What a pretty, peaceful town," you're very much on the mark.

Hey man, Awesome job! Were using a 35mm adaptor on your camera? Which Magic Bullet filter did you use? Some of the jump cuts were pretty quick, but overall you made a very good video :)

No adapter. Although I need one badly. I shot from the distance for the most part. But for the close ups I used the "Edge Softness" tool under the "Lens" tab in Magic Bullet Looks. I colored most of it with "Mishandled Negative" with Magic Bullet Looks. I love what it does to the color.

Hi I was born in kingsford, MI lived there most of my life I know live in lower MI. I have climbed the ski jump I think everone should try it at least once in there life time. My ex husbend was a ski jumper from Russia. He still lives in kingsford. He jumped off of that ski jump meny times.
