i disagree. UM will not land ALL of the top players in the portal. TJ it is very easy to tell someone else to step up & pay. these kids are in the portal seeking MORE money than they are worth and UM can NOT start over paying every top player, all UM fans keep talking, keep the culture, NOT ALL of these players are culture fits either & i think moore is considering this too.

The point about NIL price is valid, but I'm sick of this "culture fit" bs. The VAST majority of players are just good, competitive, hard-working guys who want to make the league. Problematic players are far and few. And, if, for instance, a QB wouldn't want to come here and hand the ball off as much as JJ did at times or have no weapons to throw to, that's not a "selfish player and bad culture fit." That's our offense being too archaic and losing out on players because of it.

@mmatube47 Buddy, we literally almost missed out on an unprecedented THREE 5 star QBs in our own backyard in a row. It's likely only because of a massive NIL deal that we managed to get the third one, Underwood. Harbaugh was here for 7 YEARS, and he only managed to recruit an elite 5-star QB one time. You can't compare that to blue-chip programs that sign a 5 star QB every other year.

Letting Max Clare sign with OSU is inexcusable. It's also inexcusable to lose out on these o-lineman as well. Disappointing all around especially when you consider how the season ended with beating OSU and signing the recruiting class they did.

It's not really that I prefer anyone over who they are signing, it's the fact they are getting these guys on campus and letting them leave without a commitment. The price only goes up when you let them leave and continue to shop your offer around. It's one thing to say we don't want any part of that recruitment because it's out of our price range. It's another thing to get guys on campus knowing what they are looking for and not getting it done when the players are clearly positions of need and probably a lot better than most at their position.

I mean they got Mikey Keene to come who is forsure starting caliber, but all the better Qbs in the portal wanted a guarenteed starting job. They weren’t going to get a top Qb with Bryce there. Just look at the top guys in the portal. It’s all spread out. They arent going to a few select teams. It’s not all about money in the portal. It’s different from recruiting classes. Most guys leave their school because they want to play more.
