It was mine and my girlfriends first time together, she had been before it was my first experience. My mom has been a bunch too - can’t wait to go this year and actually dress up a bit I was introduced to so many cool things

Was sitting here recalling tree-man and how he always managed to jumpscare me. Decided to see if anyone got recent renfest recorded. I was very happy to find this Edit: also know the pickle guy, he's a good dude.

Hopefully next year I can do more and get more footage - we were on a short schedule that day but its so fun. Tree-man got my gf and mom at other times 😂

highly recommend our renfest. We roleplay a lot here, Every merchant and random human goes along. It creates a very fun atmosphere. You will never feel out of place at our MI renfest

agreed a lot of my friends from arizone said they have a renfest, but said ours looked WAY better than the rest. Michigan supposedly has one of the best ren fests, I love it up there cant wait for this year

Were you not blown away but all the little details in the buildings? I didn't expect any of that. Made me think of all the times people defend theme parks not having a DIsney or Universal budget to theme -- you only need imagination!

Some of the booths do their own work, and some bought the stuff that was already on site. The pirate shop in the back is a newer build.

The insane part is they build this every year. Some buildings remain but most need to be re-built every year, It's why everything looks so new every year. Had a friend who went with renfest (its like circus and moves states). Learned a lot about the backend. Renfest is ran soley on the backs and funding of awesome folks.

I recommend EVA foam. It's cheap and easy to deal with. I make armor every year I attend renfest. Heat gun to shape, add some googly eyes for rivets (paint over), and bam got yourself helmet.
