The #1 DL returning in the country a Top 5 secondary coming back including a new NCB and CB2 (right now the projection for CB2 is DJ Waller another 6'3" DB that can run and play physical giving Michigan 2 of the biggest most athletic corners in the country) and at LB don't forget they will be starting the #1 transfer LB from the 2023 season and freshman all American in Ernest Hausmann and added next to him another top LB from the portal this year in Jaishawn Barham another all American caliber backer all this to go along with like Greg said the amount of snaps so many of these guys have already played, Michigan's ability to rotate and keep guys fresh all game and the fact that Michigan's run game should still be very solid giving the defense time to rest more times then not. There is no reason to think that Michigan wont have another top 10 or top 5 defense at least.

You don’t say much on Mason Graham considering he is the top rated DT in college. The new Lbers are faster then last years group. They may give up 10 points a game. Insiders say this defense is better this year.

He's all SEC all the times... I mean anyone that thinks Michigan needs to reload with what they have returning just doesn't know Michigan football, period. Michigan's already loaded on D. I mean you'd think he'd realize when his school Alabama had to come get a bench player from Michigan yet said player will be a starter on Bama...that's your que. Now on offense that would be a fair question but Michigan defense will be scary good.

If they just give u 10 points a game then either Michigan is 17 and 0, another bigten title beat down of Ohio as Michigan fans been saying and back to back national championship. We shall see, yes I believe the defense will be great but the offense is still a question ❓ and will lose 1 to 3 games this year. Texas Oregon and Ohio state. But since every team wants to beat Michigan now expect maybe an upset or ,2

Defense will keep Michigan in every game this year. The only question is the passing game, but to be honest, there are only a few teams on Michigan’s schedule that will be able to force them to pass. If Michigan gets past Texas, they have a really good shot at 11-1, 10-2. Texas will be a tough game as the offense may still have some kinks in it. Coach Moore will default to the power run game, which “could” be tough against Texas, even though their stud d-linemen are in the draft. That said, the Texas offense is in for a long day if they’re thinking they’re just going to roll into Ann Arbor and do what they want. Should be a good early test for Michigan and the new starters.

Sherrone Moore has been gifted a program that won the last 3 B1G Ten conference championships, was in 3 straight CFP's, and just won the most recent natty. Jim Harbaugh has also created a culture that "turns 3 stars into 5 stars", and no more proof of that can be found then when MI has the most players ever drafted from one later this month. If Moore can't continue to win B1G titles and annually compete for a natty with all that he's been gifted, then he's gonna be one of the biggest bust hires in recent college history.

I believe the Offense will shock the country this coming year.. a 3 headed monster in the backfield best TE in football in Loveland and proven young WRs I also believe Orji will start and have the whole country on notice by Mid season

@@PNAS99 there's a ton of talent. Morgan, Morris, Loveland, Edwards, mullings...the line will be fine...El hadi Crippen Anderson all have experience plus the transfer from NW....orji was great in his gimmick packages but if he's good they have a chance to win it all again

Michigan is being undervalued, looking forward to taking the points against Texas. Like he said: they rotated the f out of both lines last year because of the blowouts. Couple that with their conservative offense that won’t make mistakes and just need a game manager QB, this team will be fly under the radar. I see myself making a lot of $ on them on the bigger games later in the season too.

@@GoatedAtNFS You have ZERO idea how many "checkdowns" were made by JJ. Since U of M runs the ball 75% of the time, the vast majority of the checks would be from run to pass. Those checks are not very meaningful if you can't complete a high % of your passes. DO NOT underestimate the value of a QB who completes over 72% of his passes. BY FAR the most important quality of a QB. It takes very little skill to hand the ball to a RB. BTW, MANY college QB's "check down", not just JJ.

Michigan goes 7/5 this season with losses to blow-hio, texas, oregon, washington, usc, and a suprising upset to a fresno state...shades of app state? Also, no big ten championship game and they miss out on the cfp. Oregon beats blow-hio in the big ten championship game. Texas wins the sec championship and beats georgia on the last play of the game. The crimson tide turns to burnt umber sludge and goes 6/6. But the stunner is that FSU wins the natty this year.
