The product is greater than the sum of its parts. The RE team understands this, and more than most, that: A) you need the 3 C's to be successful. Content. Consistency, Charisma. B) There is so much going on behind the scenes that the viewers don't know about. I.e. producers on TNT in Earnie's ear saying let-em go or shut-em down at the right times. Just like a comedian knowing timing and where to draw the line. C) When you have/had lightning in a bottle, it cannot be replicated or copied/pasted/moved. Fans know where to get them, and what they're going to get. The false sense that we can buy the show and move it to our location has so many pitfalls, it will for sure fail. They are both friends and this is their locker room. They have loyalty to the friends and staff that pull the show together behind the scenes. I know this team will rebel against anything other than TNT. The NBA needs to understand that this show is partly responsible for the success of the NBA. If it aint broke, don't fix it!

I agree 100%, but one should never underestimate the arrogance and stupidity of TV executives. Like Rich said, executives like to put their own stamp on things, even if they end up with a vastly inferior product. Also, Sports Business Journal reported that EJ would likely stay with Turner with or without the NBA, so it would take a miracle (and a lot of cash) for another network to keep the gang together. Sadly, we might be close to the end of the road.

It's not just about those four. It's the chemistry and trust with the on set producers. That's where these companies usually go cheap. You’re making the same mistake. Understand that if the NBA goes to Peacock, it’s not going to be the same NBA on NBC. Sure, they can bring back the theme song. But the personalities that made NBA on NBC amazing are all retired. You aren’t getting Marv Albert, Ahmad Rashad, Mike Fratello, etc. Also we didn’t have to pay extra for NBC. Now NBC is trying to get people to subscribe to Peacock, whose growth has basically stalled (the real reason why they’re going after sports rights). So NBC has to be very careful here.

So sad. It was required for me to look into inside the NBA show. They brightened my life from a stressful military lifesyle of serving 16 years. Thank you Ernie, Shaq, Kenny, Chuck and the studio personnel for all the great times and laughs they gave me to keep pushing forward. Semper Fi!

I don't see how any of those four would sign with anyone else without the other three joining them. They're often more watched than the games themselves, especially online replays that miss them live. Hope it doesn't happen :(

I'm not a basketball fan. However, i do watch Inside the NBA often. The chemistry with those men is undeniable, and it introduced me to Ernie, who seems like the dearest man ever! Chuck and Shaq make me cry with laughter, and I sure hope this isn't the end. For those of you who don't watch the show, search out their recation to the Rockets Clippers fight from a few years ago.

We had 80s & 90s Sportscenter. Then the Dark Ages. It always comes to an end. Pardon The Interruption was good for awhile. Inside the NBA is the only good sports show that is good today. Something will eventually replace it, but it may take 5-10 years.

People forget the NBA on NBC was huge with Ahmad Rashad and Bob Costas. Heck, the NBA on NBC theme song still represents the NBA more than any othet piece of music. Inside the NBA is the best sport show on TV, but the NBA can survive without that show. I'll be sad when it does end though.

I don’t think so. I think Amazon or whoever gets the NBA rights. Is going to pay Top Dollar for all 4 guys to keep the show going. Too much money for them to walk away. It just won’t be on TNT that would be the only difference.

NBA has to know the value the entire Inside the NBA team brings to the table for hardcore and non hardcore fans. Money talks, but it'd be a shame if they don't let these guys dictate how and when to end their tv careers. Even if the four move to a new network, it just wouldn't feel the same. They're the best at what they do and that also includes the entire production team.
