Hello fellow Earth dwellers!
I know I say it often but...it's been a while! A lot has been going on in the wonderful world of the vagabonding life and I do hope that you all understand that sometimes it is difficult to film, edit and upload videos on the go. Trust and believe that it is always on my mind to create content about our adventures. However, sometimes when we are taking life for a ride, we find it best to just absorb what is going on around us and not allow our world to be absorbed into the things we are filming and in making sure it is a perfect shot for our videos. In other words, we have been enjoying our time on the road and in each adventure, so much so that we haven't wanted to stop to put together videos for your viewing pleasures. Sorry everyone!!
BUUUUT this particular adventure was too good not to film! Over the past month we have been working the Michigan Sugar Beet Harvest! My intention is to take my footage and actually break down the contents of what this job entails on a later video but for now, this is a short edit of the experience we had in Michigan this past month. The experience we had in this job was very rewarding, not just for our pockets (which is one of the major reasons we went) but for the amazing souls we met during this job. We have met some interesting people on the road since we started this journey but this particular experience really illuminated the amazing souls we knew were out there. The community of folks that gather for this experience was absolutely jaw dropping in the diverse paths everyone was on. From a father and son with relatable world views living in the local area, to a truck driver living on the road with his wife and puppy named Max, we have had such a pleasure meeting all these unique beings. If you are looking to meet people outside your day to day circle, this is the perfect job to pick up for a month.
This job really helped us in understanding our next steps on the road. When we first started this trek, it was to try and find a place to live permanently. But what we have discovered is that we absolutely love the road life and we don't think that a picket fence with the house is something for us. The next question was where do we go from here? Living in such small quarters is getting a little old and digging a cat hole for a bathroom break isn't necessarily ideal for a full time life style. So it has been in the works for us to look into something bigger. Potentially something to convert, like a van or a bus or even a bigger rig to haul a small travel trailer. We aren't sure what we are going after but our main stay is that we want to continue on the road. The other wall we are running up against is that we need more money to acquire this next step. Sadly enough, if we needed a bank loan, the bank systems won't recognize our small temp jobs as being anything that will pay off a loan. We need something a little more permanent if we are wanting these next goals to be achieved. My little sister and her man have graciously allowed us an opportunity to stay with them while we get some 9-5's and start the process of integrating back into society for a little while and that's where we are now!
Stay tuned planet Earthers cause we aren't done yet! Not by a long shot!!!

Amanda and Joey
