The coaches put Orji in a tough spot, because they didn’t give him any reps or series leading up to the USC game. That was not the game to work on the passing game, it was just a WIN THE GAME type of deal. Next week vs Minnesota Orji will throw more and we’ll see what the offensive plans are moving forward

@@rayserifi8683 Officially, no they didn't. The final 32 plays from scrimmage were all runs, and there was one penalty on Penn State mixed in for pass interference. Technically, that doesn't count in the statistics as an attempted pass.

This was a "Cinematic" game. On par with the Rose Bowl in terms of drama. We are so lucky to have TWO all time great wins for Michigan in the same calendar year. Michigan's season would have been ruined if they lost. Instead, they have a path to 7-1 (with only loss to the #1 team in the country) going into the Oregon game now. I don't really care that they had 32 yards passing. I would have been happy with a 3-2 final score. They found a way to win. That is all that matters.

It's not important that it's Sherrone Moore's Michigan, it's the style of play that fits the roster. The best college coaches make slight scheme changes to fit their personnel if necessary. They can't throw the ball consistently, but they are starting to gel the run-blocking and Wink is getting familiar with his call sheet and roster. This style of play will win them games against a lot of teams but they need to figure out how to convert 3rd and long more often against teams like Oregon, OSU and Texas.

People still don't get it: Trench play wins college football games. Linemen are the players that make or break teams. QBs, WRs and RBs might be more entertaining, but you can't win without winning in the trenches. Mullings scored that last TD because Michigan has a solid left tackle.

Well it's BS that SC was bullied. True for Michigan's D line. Not true for SC's D line. 3 offensive plays with missed tackles was it plus a pic 6 which was a dumb play by Branch and Moss. Other than that Until the breakthrough run Michigan had 0 first downs and a total of 9 yards in the second half. That’s only like 5 yards per carry which is very average. 290 yards on 50 rushing attempts isn’t bad at all. College counts sacks as negative rushing yards, so if you take the sacks away USC was averaging 7 yards per carry

Yes, doing the QB switch was huge. No film on him and that scheme. 'But Michigan always runs the ball' - First 2 games, UM passed 25 and 33 times. SC completely figured out the O by the second half. Was it 9 yards UM had before the last drive? If SC had film on Orji, they could have shut down UM all game instead of the second half.

It’s not a knee jerk reaction to establish that Michigan can run the ball on anyone they want, and like the dude said IF they go 10-2 (meaning he still thinks they will lose one) they can make the playoffs. As a Michigan fan, I am not scared of one team in the country. Especially, Ohio State. Michigan still has a trench advantage and the players to get it done. Their problem is coaching and reps. They will get better. USC is a good football team, but they were the favorites and looked the opposite in the first half. Michigan showed they specialize in running. Teams gotta stop them too and if they stay healthy then good luck to the rest of the league. If they throw for 33 yards and get a dub next week that’s a win for the passing game and win for the jug.

I know no UM fan wants to hear it, but it is true. 2 missed delay of games, missed facemask, missed horsecollar, gifted 4th down conversion (that was a 14 pt swing), UM OL full on tackling SC DL, missed holding in the secondary.
