Kifaru Bino Harness || FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I don't know how to explain it, but this one jus looks kind of sloppy to me compared to Marsupial or the new stuff from FHF. It's a good design, but the lid just seems sloppy when opening and closing. Like at 3:22, you cut before I could really see, but it looks like even with two hands it took some effort to get the harness to close properly. I'm hoping they drop a version two that has a different closure system, because other than that I really like the look of this harness.

It's pretty easy to close one-handed. I like the straps, but I went back to wearing my marsupial when shooting 3D, so I didn't have to sweat this one up, and I noticed the marsupials straps are a little more comfortable. There has been a lot of feedback since they released, and I'm sure they will make a version 2.

How do you feel the straps are on the harness ? How to the compare to the marsupial straps?

They are comfortable. I ran this harness at the Mi TAC event all weekend and I didn't have any discomfort.

It's almost there. I'll wait for the gen 2 model. They need to ditch the front molle and go with a zipper pouch. The straps just look too tight against your neck. Really looking forward to an after use review!

Thanks for watching! I'm not sure if they will go with a front zipper pocket in the future but possibly. It seems a lot of people enjoy having that feature.

I really think some are missing the value of the nav pouch. With the popularity of nav software, hands free phone usage is the future.

I will do a side-by-side comparison once I get the range finder and accessory pouch, but as of now, I have both, and ill be running for Kifaru going forward.

I have a small I run the vortex diamond ack 10x42s. I would recommend looking at the sizing chart or comparing the dimensions.

If you weren't wearing the harness and were to carry the harness upside down with binos in it will the lid stay closed or will it spill the binos? I ask only because I'm always tossing my current harness around and I could see this being an issue for me personally. Thanks for the info and nice video.

Is that a size small? If it is I’m wondering if it will fit my Vortex Viper HD 10x42’s? On their website it says to go with a medium.

It is a small but I have the Vortex Diamondback 10x42s. I'm not sure how those compare in size to the Vipers.

It's a snug fit, so if they are even slightly larger, that might be why they changed it to the med.

On Vortex it shows the Viper HD slightly smaller then the Diamondback HD. I might go ahead and order and if it’s too small I’ll just send it back. Thanks again!

I would do the same but you could message Kifaru. They are usually quick to get a reply back. It might save you a few bucks in shipping.

@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors Game changer implies it does something that completely changes they way things are done. This isn't even the first harness that has been designed without magnets. It's a great harness with some nice features, just not a (game changer)

I've personally run 7 different harnesses, and this offers more than any harness I've tried, so for me, it's a game changer, but I respect your opinion.

Got mine today very disappointed. The straps are junk. Had it on 15min in the house messing with it already feeling discomfort. The phone pocket not big enough it is nice for a release. The side pockets are to small useless . Mine will be going back

Man, that’s a bummer. I like mine, and I don’t find it uncomfortable at all. The pocket wasn’t designed to put your phone in and close it. It was designed to hold it with your camera facing out to record, but I would rather use it as a release pouch. Also, I don’t think the side pockets are any smaller than some of the other harnesses I have used. Maybe a little smaller than the Marsupials, but I typically keep a wind puffer and my hinge. It is too small for my Carter Wise Choice.

I was equally disappointed. It feels very flimsy, I wish the padding around the bino had more structure to make going back in smoother. Also closing the “lid” is not a very smooth operation. I think they kinda rushed this product.

The harness will break in the more you use it, but I like that it holds the binos snugly. I prefer a tight fit vs. Having my binos fall out every time I bend over, but it is all personal opinion and what works best for your hunting style.
