Dude. Usc is not texas. Especially their oline. Also we had 3 turnovers and a bad punt that gave texas alot of short fields. If the pass rush gets going and they don't make as many mistakes we have a good chance.

**Alex Orji Assessment:** 1. A lot of Michigan fans seem to forget that Alex Orji actually performed well in the spring game. He was an effective passer and showed enough to keep defenses honest. The big question is, what caused his regression? Was it entirely his fault? Or was coaching involved? Personally, I think the staff may have been messing with his mechanics. It’s surprising to see such a big drop-off from spring to summer, especially with him not ending up as the starter. 2. There were plenty of articles stating that this was Orji’s team and that his teammates saw him as a leader. You need your leader on the field, but Michigan didn’t have theirs when it mattered. What happened?

3......Michigan will end up with over 200 yards rushing and under 125 passing, unless there is a fluke dump pass where the receiver breaks through with a 75 yard RAC. Orji will not have a completion that travels through the air more than 20 yards.

7. With Alex in the game it will open up their spread option / rpo attack. They already line up in some pistol offsets, and shotgun. Orji doesn't need to take a snap under center at all. Defense will obviously start loading the box. So utilize The Don receiving in the flats. Mullings as RB1. TE's to run simple Stick routes, and Loveland on crossing, and dig routes. O-line really needs to step up big time. I don't see Michigan winning this game, but I would assume that the offense takes a better leap forward in a more positive direction. Orji we'll definitely have some mistakes, misreads, and possibly a turnover or two. It's good he's getting to finally start, but it's in a big game versus an undefeated USC team that looks good.

I think Orji is the exact type of QB that will give USC fits. I think the running game gets on track. UM gets a W in a close game. We will keep progressing but growing pains are inevitable. GO BLUE

I give Orji a 6.5, I think they should look at the offense used when Denard was there and go with that. passing ability has to be about the same. he's not shoelace but I think it could work.

Our OL is awful! They were letting the opponents defensive line walk right through them. Warren was forced consistently to throw before he had his receivers where they needed them to be. If the OL actually protected Warren I think he would have been better.

Moore's contract pays $500K in annual salary the goes up 2% every year of the contract. That's peanuts. He does get $5M in additional compensation in yr 1. Ironically the buyout for yr 1 is.........$5M. The buyout goes down $1M each subsequent year of the contract. Is it just me, or is it more than coincidence that the buyout is equal to the "additional compensation". There are other bonuses in there for winning the B1G and for winning a Naty that totals $3.5M. $5M is nothing to a school like Michigan. It'll be really interesting what's going to come out of the NCAA's NoA. If its bad and the team continues to struggle, I can see them moving on from Moore by season's end.

Sherrone will need 3 years to get michigan back on track. He has inherited a team that has been gutted from players turning pro to the coaching staff. I don't care how great of a coach you are under these circumstances. The task is very difficult . Where he failed was getting a bonnified QB from the postal. That was an ameture mistake. Therefore, this season is screwed 😢

I give him a D for so many reasons but main one is this team is so far from last year’s team it is unrecognizable. Granted they lost a lot of players and coaches but seemed they had no desire to replace with more quality players or coaches. Very disappointed in Moore.

Grade F: complete regression at every position. They can't even punt, Morgan was a nice gimmick last year on a couple plays, but that little fella can't fight for the ball or get open. Somehow 2 first round picks ( not for long) on the DL can't over power Mac level competition. Looking forward to watching some 1930s offense run into a 8 man box for the rest of the season. Should be exciting.
