It's one of these hackneyed narratives written by a semiliterate poser. I think it was a sentence that was broken up and put back together incorrectly. Like a local paper here once printed a headline "Man Hit By Car In Hospital" and another "Man Hit By Car In Emergency Room".

This is a very poor video. There is just about no original material in it - every piece of information (and opinion) has been heard hundreds of times before. Some details are plainly wrong and frankly embarrassing ("Mike Jagger....", etc). I have met several people who were at school with Mick Jagger, and i have also talked with some of his teachers. As such I know that the usual accounts of relations between the members of the band in the early years are not entirely correct. After Brian Jones left the Rolling Stones, their music seemed to change, and certain elements of their earlier songs were missing. Take "Ruby Tuesday", for example. What does this tell you?

Regardless of Brian Jones demeanor it's always been an unfair character assassination of his life. His band, Yes! First person to answer Jones' ad for musicians was Ian Stewart on piano that Jones hired. Andrew Loog Oldman was the best thing to happen to the Rolling Stones(if your last names were Jagger & Richards) Oldham would be Jones Kryptonite. Same for Ian Stewart who look to square to continue as the sixth member of the band. But at least he was kept on as band road manager who still played on songs. Stewart was one of the best boogie - woogie piano player in England who was eventually replaced by Nicky Hopkins(Hopkins was the best keyboardist, especially on piano, check out his piano solo on "Blues Delux" on the first Jeff Beck Group album 'Truth') Oldham also put a wedge between Clapton & Page while. Page was working for Oldham's record company Immediate Records where Page was both a session guitarist and producer. Long story short?Clapton & Page recorded basic blues riffs at Pages home tape recorder, but because Page worked for Oldham he was forced to hand over those tapes without Clapton's permission and Oldham put them out as instrumentals backed by members of the Rolling Stones. This put a big wedge between Clapton & Page's friendship which has been damaged to this day. Back to this Jones comment, yes Jagger & Richards wrote the songs(although Jones did write or co - write songs he didn't get credit on as an interview by Bill Wyman was stated) Brian Jones life is basically the rise and fall of a rock star, which isn't a new one in the history of music. Some people are simply left behind, and some just died. When Jones died even with his replacement Mick Taylor and the Stones greatness to follow, the day Jones died the band died for me. Keith wrote the music and the riffs, but Taylor outshine him on many solos as did Woody later on. If Brian Jones didn't form the band their would have been no Rolling Stones, Period. Stewart, Jagger, Richards, Watts, Wyman, Taylor and Woody their careers would of been much different. There's an old quote: "a rolling stone gathers no moss", this to me is a perfect epitaph for Brian Jones. R.I.P. 🙏

Brian had a degree of genius about him. But, I have heard (from multiple sources) that he was absolutely barbaric towards women. The band quietly tried to smooth things over and control him, but it was difficult. I think that the band members are reluctant to talk about this stuff now because they're trying to honor his memory, remember the good times, and avoid causing emotional hurt for fans that grew up adoring this man. However, it's clear that he could be cold and sadistic. He had a variety of unresolved mental and emotional problems.

Brian Jones` erratic and destructive behavior could have been due to serious undiagnosed medical problems. One of Jones` out-of-wedlock daughters, is quoted to the effect that she suffers from epileptic symptoms that cause fits and mood swings similar to those exhibited by the father she never knew. Also Brian had health issues (Asthma) so taking all that medicine back then most likely affected him deeply . The meds back then were not so great and the after affects probably affected him badly . Sounds like your speaking about Keith Richards. Stones pianist and roadie Ian Stewart had to keep a list of airlines unwilling to let the guitarist aboard, and he later revealed that Richards was banned by Alitalia 'for staying in the restroom from Rome to London, punching that crazy Anita Pallenberg. Similar outbursts would recur throughout the couple's 12-year relationship.

Very likely Brian was suffering from emotional issues that would be properly diagnosed and treated today. I don't believe he was an evil person. The women in his life have been very honest about his problems, but they also still care a great deal about him. I don't think the band is trying to spare the feelings of fans, it's just a painful subject to go back to.

@@SuperAnimelover100no, an IQ of 135 is not "In the genius range". The usual statistical definition of genius is an IQ greater than three standard deviations above the mean of 100, assuming a normal distribution "bell-shaped" curve. Most IQ tests have a standard deviation of about 15, which means a person would need to have a score above 145 to be considered as a genius.

“In the studio, Brian manically mastered the Moroccan ‘interplanetary after-dinner music’ Brion Gysin had recorded for him, a 21st-century hybrid of ‘funky hill music and sophisticated studio techniques.’ The result, Brian Jones Presents the Pipes of Pan in Jajouka, is the closest we will ever come to the sounds that danced in the back of Brian’s mind. Whatever vibrations Brian Jones may have felt his one night in Jajouka, we know that he spent the next few weeks in Tangier, listening and relistening to his tapes, finding his way in the music. He heard it running forward, he heard it running backward, he heard it overlaid upon itself, and he recreated his multi-directional hearing with considerable expertise in a London studio." --The Rolling Stones: The First Twenty Years (David Dalton, Bob Palmer)

"As the most complicated, prolix and subtle of the Stones musically, Brian had already brilliantly integrated the dulcimer and the flute into the Stones’ monolithic sound and introduced the only really effective use of a sitar in hard rock. What Brian did with the raw Jakouka tapes was to feed the ancient ceremony through his own highly attuned nervous system. What is spine-chilling in the tapes of the ceremony is transposed on Jajouka to our own sensibilities. The music takes on an eeriness that is not remote and tribal but spooky in a disturbing, almost intimate way."--The Rolling Stones: The First Twenty Years (David Dalton, Bob Palmer)

Jan Bell, the daughter of Frank Thorogood, Jones’s builder-cum-minder who was present at Jones’s farm on the night of his death.Thorogood died in 1993. A year later, it was claimed that he had murdered Jones. Her father told her that he intervened in the row between Jones and Richards, she claimed. She said that her father had told her a number of years ago that on the day of Brian’s death, Messrs Mick JAGGER and Keith RICHARDS visited Brian JONES at the farm in the morning and her father was present when Brian was asked by both men whether he would give up the name of the “Rolling Stones” to them and agree to a financial settlement. Brian apparently declined to do so and it is alleged that Keith RICHARDS drew a knife. It is suggested that THOROGOOD calmed them down and both JAGGER and RICHARDS left the house.
