I got to see the Stones in 1975 when they played 6 nights at Madison Square Garden. Tickets for the red section of the Garden were $12.50 then. I got tickets for all six nights, the Lotus Stage was unbelievable. This concert was the first time that ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ since the Altamonte concert. It had Eric Clapton played the lead for the first or last night.. Carlos Santana played the lead in either the first or sixth night. Billy Preston was on the stage during a recent hit song. What a legend performance 🎭

Thanks certain memories special others not so much, seeing the Stones with the album Black and Blue was just released. But much of the show was a bit of earlier classics, sort of like that old saying, Rock Legends don’t die they just slowly slip away. Of course I hope Mock and the rest of the Stones get to stop touring and just live a long happily fulfilled journey. 🚀

@@keithmarwood2397 You should have consulted Muddy Waters about whether he thought the Stones could play blues music. His opinion (most affirmative) meant much more than yours or mine. As to whether the Greatest Rock and Roll band in the World (at it's height) played rock music -- well, if songs like Jumping Jack Flash and Stray Cat Blues aren't icons of rock and roll to you, I suppose you're entitled to your own definition of rock music.

I speak only as an observer. He publicly purchased a Florida lovenest for his current partner. She probably had a blank check but used her head with Mick's guidance I am sure and settled in suburbia's grasps in a upper middle class used home. They then gave it a proper remodel. After a media flurry in the local press surrounding the purchase, seems life has settled. Kinda nice see the senior years become so 'normal' for Squire Jagger. At least in this corner of his world.

I've been a Rolling Stones fan for over 45 years. For myself, they seemed like a comfort, musicwise...they've always been there. If there's an argument that they're no longer relevant, I would be inclined to agree. But that's because people 30 years younger than me have made their own brand of music. They are in control in a myriad of ways. The Stones are relevant to me in some strange way. Their newest release, Hackney Diamonds doesn't impress me but they put it out there for commercial consumption and that's important. I hope others like it and continue supporting the band.

The absolute most ignorant title of a video, ever. 60 years of being THE rock star, and one year of being 80 is sad because he's 80. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. I'd LOVE to be as sad as he is.

The price of growing old is outliving friends and good times. The challenge is to stay active enough to find more friends and good times to replace those we have lost. I'm sure all of the Rolling Stones have done their share of mourning, but they've certainly coped with it well.

He went right off the beaten track, right out the back of buggery, out the middle of nowhere, in the mid to late 1980s, touring and performing throughout outback Australia. One foot high wooden stages maybe covered by a tarp. Full-on minimalism, sets with absolutely no extravagant trimmings. Deferring to remote communities and the have-nots, one would suppose. I saw mention of it in passing on a current affairs program on the telly..

This checks out. Mich reportedly spends most of his time indoors hidden away. He never goes out and prefers to isolate himself living a hermit lifestyle. It is a pity. He used to be so active and social. The neighbours haven't seen him in years. God bless u Mick. Hope ur ok bro. ty

I think that by 80, a guy like Mick is entitled to be home with his young wife and cute little son and lead a normal suburban married man, finally settled down life.bGood luck to him. Hope he enjoys his twilight years and now only plays his music for the sheer joy of making music, which is how all the true artists and great musicians start out doing their music for. Sheer love of art, music, celebration (ir comiseration) about life, in its many moods and hues, infinite variety of experience, feelings etc.

What a ridiculous proposition. From playing with Keith in the County Arms Beesands in Devon to at 16 to still playing Stadiums at 80 giving tens of thousands joy and happiness is NOT sad. He’s had 8 children and Grandchildren with some of the world’s most beautiful women and at 81, he’s certainly not wasting away in an old folks home. Bearing in mind that average age of healthiness in the U.K. is between 63 and 64 for both men and women (when a significant disability takes over your life) I think 18 years past that he’s doing well.

Mick has always been one of my favs! Can't beat that Jagger Swagger! I'm surprised you didn't mention his "affair" with David Bowie. I saw a rather lengthy expose on it once not long ago. I had no idea about it until then. But it seemed they were more than just buddies. I'll leave it up to others if they want to research it. But none of that changes my love for him and the Stones music. There will always be Stones tunes on my playlist!!! I don't follow news about people's personal lives much so I did learn a lot from this video. It seems that Mick was more prolific than you can fit into 1 45 min video! Thanks!
