I love how he keeps the same motif throughout but makes it more complex as he goes. Starts with just P words, then begins to add Q words as well. Then he starts using words with strong/accentuated Ps in the middle (like appreciate). Then he starts using words that don’t start with a Q but sound like they do (like cold and coins). Then at the end he throws in words that don’t sound like they start with a P but do (like phonetics). It’s genius and by the end he has it all tied together. Also that Peter Pettigrew bar is still one of my favorite bars of all time.
@ryanglass1008 Жыл бұрын
Facts man. There’s so much going on in this s#!t I’m still catching bars 7 years later. Just like you said, it gets so much more complex as it goes and there’s so many words that sound like they should have a Q followed by the bars that don’t sound like they start with P. Alchemy was the song that got me really hip to him, but this song put him on another level to me. This whole album is nutty. Edit: when the whole song is annotated on lyric sites, you know it’s about to be gas

And as a bonus though, ive had favorite artists before but none of their music has actually made me reevaluate my life choices and think about things on deeper scales. I Think With The Train His Saying Like If You In the Place That Is Just Chaos Then Your Life Is Gonna Be Chaos You Got Move Pass That Shit To Do Better Like If You Surround You Self With People That Aren't Doing Nothing Then Your Aren't Gonna Nothing Feel Me Famo
@KnowOne1119 жыл бұрын
My interpretation was at first it seems like Mick is the one moving backwards because we usually associate left to right (well, at least in most languages/cultures) with forward. But then you see the train go by and you realize it's really him that's moving forward through the chaos around him. Even if he's doing it in a different way than what you might expect (right to left). Maybe that's a little simplistic but I didn't really see much meaning in the train itself

I hadn't even noticed. That's actually super cool

+faneto It's called alliteration. That was the whole meaning of the video. P's and Q's is a British lingo abbreviating for paying attention/being aware. Hence why in the video, he's moving forward whilst everyone else is moving backwards.

the people in the background represented the comment section of nonsense and ignorance that's been platformed as importance and relevance and the music industry and the train is on track just as Mick is that's my take on it and the one thing that Mick acknowledged was the truth aka the water.

Mick is the fucking truth! He's up there with Ab-soul in my opinion. Everything he spits has a message and he has the bars, metaphors, similes, double, triple, and multi entendres to go along with it. This dude is one of the best out right now, HANDS DOWN!

Chicago is starting to build up again. Lupe, Mic, Common, Typical Cats, Palmer Squares, Corey Dillon, MC Juice and other great artists. Check em out.

Cristian Rodriguez I know they are not new, I am just saying Chicago has built up a pretty low key assemblage of talent. Everyone thinks it is just Drill out here, pisses me off. Either is Juice but he is crazy talented with lyrics, one of the best of all time.
@CristianRodriguez-uq8jp9 жыл бұрын
Yeah i feel you, everybody thinks of drill, they dont think Chicago a place of real talent anymore. Dont get me wrong once and awhile ill pop in some lil herb or Montana of 300. Typical Cats hands down one of the illest underground groups especially Qwell.

Cristian Rodriguez Qwel is dope as fuck man. Listen to Bionic Star if you like TC, its a group from Detroit that started in the early 00s. They sound really fresh
