CM Punk should have thought about that he was going into a real fight, & not act like he's better than Gall because he never had that UFC experience yet, so Mickey Gall is right. CM Punk will have to learn the hard way that in order to or to achieve that top spot, you have to earn it & it won't be easy. As much as I like CM Punk, he has great words & speeches on how it's not fair how big guys get pushed & all they care about is money, and younger talent barely gets pushed in wrestling, but, he should realize that in UFC, fights are actually fought fairly to earn that money & top spot, so he can't complain that he didn't make it to the top spot because he got screwed when he actually lost a fight fair & square knowing that in order to get to the top, you have to win & take fights seriously with respect & train harder. Now, just like Mickey Gall said, Punk will learn from more than just his loss, he's going to learn the hard way & that he is getting involved in real fights, so if he wants to get better, he has to practice, get better, take things seriously, don't be too optimistic or pestimistic, & win fights so he can go to higher levels & in order for him to win, he's going to need more training & focus harder & think differently. Now, 1 fight can't just make him a bad fighter right away, so if he does get a 2nd chance, he'll have to prepare for that event then.

The fact that everyone is so surprised or alternatively feels it worthy to discuss the outcome of that Punk fight so much just leads me to think that the level of competition in MMA is pretty low. Imagine a random celebrity guy who works out going into boxing or taekwondo, sticking to it for 2-3 years and then given the chance to fight an olympic medalist of his own size. What do you think is going to happen? The reason the level of competition is what it is is of course that there are so many martial arts in the world with small differences out there that are eating up so much of the talent. I think I'm more impressed with CM Punk than the level of mixed martial arts eg. human cockfighting.
