Saw Jerry Lee at a private club in Midland Texas when we were both in our 30’s! Sat right next to the stage and believe me when I tell you that “The Killer” was wound tight and full of energy that night! Great show and I had no idea that he and I are the same age. My my, Mickey Gilley, such a gentleman to my sweet departed mom! Rode on a flight sitting next to him on her way to the Superbowl in LA back in the early 80's. Seems there were penguins strolling down the planes aisles at one point..I've got the Houston Chronicle article somewhere...she sure spoke well of Mr Gilley.
