The Gondolas
Ride with up to 5 other brave souls in one of the 8 traditional gondolas mounted to the outer rim that sway as the wheel spins. Or dare to board one of the 16 "free-mounted" gondolas that slip and slide back and forth along the tracks inside the spokes. The vibrant gondolas each feature the happy face of one of the following characters:
•Minnie Mouse
•Goofy
•Pluto
•Donald

You can choose to ride a car thst doesnt rock back and forth. If you look closely some of the cars arent attached to a track.

I have only been on this one time and I went on the non-swinging gondola and when I go yo California Adventure in May my friends are gonna force Menon this ride and I am gonna get scared Lol

I went on this ride last week with 3 other adults and a 9 year old child. We had 3 adults ( including myself) on the right side and the child and another adult on the other side. We were really weighted down and this ride was more terrifying than it was probably supposed to be intended. We really thought the car was going to flip over. We are at a scary 180 degrees. Where are the handrails?

Yes it does. I have been on both and will never go on the swinging one again. It was terrifying.

Not deserving of retirement. Had it not been part of Pixar Pier, it would have stayed, considering it was a fantastic Disney re-theme of the Sun Wheel. Also, the wheel is located next-door to Silly Symphony Swings, and the Mickey face was going to stay in the center, so the Mickey theme should have stayed.
