Wow, I never knew Mickey Rooney made shorts like this. This is the first time I have seen this. It was also interesting to see a young Billy Barty playing Mickey's little brother.

The Mickey McGuire films were Mickey Rooney's greatest achievement. Not even the Andy Rooney films come close.

These early films had a lot more black actors than later on in the 40s and 50s. Or at least this film did.

Billy Barty started off young in the business. I met him in the early 60s when he had the Billy Barty Show on TV in LA. I was in the audience on the stage. I met him again 30 or years later at St. Vincent's Medical Center in LA. We were in the elevator together and he could not reach the button to his floor so I pushed it. How hard it must be for little people. Billy was a good actor. I also liked how the kids got along well with each other as far as race is concerned. Hospitals then were segregated I guess. Nice short film and comical. People needed laughter during the depression.

😂😂😂 this is why I typically watch children's films. Because children have tenacity, so determined and filled with imagination and they believe in their creative ideas. 🌄🏞🦋🙏🌻 But most importantly *#TheyBelieveInThemselves* Adult films are the opposite so uninspiring because life has pushed out all their magic.

All day outside capers and adventures. Them was the real gheto youngins back then. It's been said that Eddie Rochester developed his signature hoarse voice, from selling newspapers as a child of early 1900s Seattle. They would yell *EXTRA EXTRA - READ ALL ABOUT IT,* as folks walked past.

Are you kidding ? " They didn''t have blacks talking slow and lazy ? 89% of African Americans talk like that. Nothing has really changed. They mock the ones that can speak properly and accuse them of trying to be white even unto the point of harming them physically for being able to. Most of them have a very poor command of the English language. And that's a natural fact in America. Much to be said on the topic but nothing to be desired.
