I've always loved mick taylor, he played on all my favorite stones albums and definitely had the best solos ever on their albums and i loved his 1st solo album, truly a brilliant player

Mick did the right thing leaving the Stones. He may not have survived had he stayed. He has no regrets. Money is not everything and he did what was best for him. I am glad he left, took a lot of guts. Love you Mick Taylor.

One of the best guitar players of all time. By far my favorite with Slash from guns n' roses. I just love the way that his play guitar with melody and you know like a fuckin river. There is no hole in the solos.

Mick Taylor is a sad case.. Mick should have had enough intelligence to hang in there with the Stones to benefit from the financial windfall bestowed upon the Rolling Stones. If he would have only humbled himself and hung in there he would be loaded and not having to perform at small venues and pitching for Weight Watchers. It's only natural for Mick to rationalize how he left the Stones because of his escalating heroin addiction. If I missed out on all of that money out of stupidity I would craft the same kind of bull shit excuses. Fact, Mick Jagger did his level best to get Mick Taylor to stay with the Stones. Jagger offered Mick a Six month break to clean up and move forward, but Taylor was too smart for his own good.. Celebrity net worth has Taylor listed with just $300 grand. For all of his talent, he sure lacks a lot when it comes to financial foresight.

Tom Meredith I too can’t imagine the great music created if MT had stayed with the glimmer twins for another decade or two, but I think he essentially responds to your belated financial advice right around 3:15..

Had he ever a manager everyone else had even if they were skimming a bit extra he should be loaded .

@@andydug while a member he had an American express cards and many other percs. He just lacked the foresight to hang in there for the windfall. Thanks for your comments,

@@tommeredith7079 Yes big every band member got a card back then and everything paid for .They would have put him in rehab or anything he wanted .He is one of my favourite guitar players but he was young and seen Peter green and Eric Clapton doing well on there own so that must have influenced his decision as well .But over the years all the bands from blues breakers to Dylan and solo ,he would have been making serious money ,I have never understood why someone dident scoop him up as anyone else who was out back then managers were all trying to get there 20% and more. Mick Taylor lived a life most who went to those concerts dreamed of but it must be frustrating for him when the media keeps comparing Keith's wealth and his .

Hang on a minute. You can see where he lives in the video. It's a mansion with a huge estate that's definitely worth millions. So he's not in financial need at all.
