Micro Air Easy Touch Thermostat

Replacement of the stock RV Dometic thermostat to the Micro Air Easy Touch thermostat. The replacement was not all that hard, you just have to pay attention to the wiring and where they are plugged into. Total time to change out the thermostat's was maybe fifteen to twenty minutes at the most. The packaging the new thermostat came in was nice and secure. The product build quality seems okay and the user interface seems okay. Ill have to make a follow up video on how well this unit operates.

The EasyTouch is a three wire connection. Simple. Touchscreen, Bluetooth and WiFi. Perfect operation and new User Interface promised for 2023 to arrive by app. App based products are nice in that they always get better, no fee for subscription. Free app end-to-end. More than 2 years since this video was made and they claim tens of thousands sold. The thermostats they replace with your 351 model are the most despised in the industry!

I might swap also. I have not done it personally, but have read from others that reversing that little foam or whatever it else helps quite a bit on the stock Dometic.

Hi so I own a Dometic breeze 15000 . I'm trying to get the thermostat to aquire the inside temp in auto so it shuts off once in a while. Do I just set the temp to the actual inside temp. 1 degree above it or a few degrees below it ? Thanks. I would love to have that style thermostat. Beats the Dometic.

I would try setting it for two maybe three degrees above what ever temp you want it at, you may need to adjust it up or down depending on humidity and outside temp, direct or indirect sunlight...

Dometic sent me a new faceplate for free. That was nice of them don’t know if that was why my ac goes from high fan to low fan to high fan all in about 5 minutes. I’m going microair and see if that helps.

So far I have to say I like the Micro air. The only problem I've had with it so far are the little clips on the back that slide over the wall mounting screws, broke. I ended up using velcro to hold it to the wall.

So far its worked okay for me. You go to their website and select the appropriate unit to replace what you have in your RV and it basically is a direct replacement. I haven't run any specific temperature test or anything but it seems like its more accurate when starting or turning off the AC for what ever temperature it is set at.

So I just installed one and it won’t operate my air or heat. Used the online order forum to make sure I ordered the right one. So far customer service is non-existent. No instructions in the package. Good luck to anyone who buys this.

I haven't needed customer service yet, so I can't speak on that. I did get a couple of emails when I bought this that contained the instructions. In your case, I would guess its either wired incorrectly, maybe you ordered the wrong unit or perhaps they shipped the wrong one. I know thats not helpful it will take their customer service getting back to you to figure it out.

@@WindersRanger I figured it out. My 5th wheel is a 2021 forest river arctic wolf so I never would have expected the poor craftsmanship to be in the wall, but…. Grounds for heat and air came apart in the wall. Was an easy fix, I soldered them together with a pig tail. But still, if you have a problem a need to talk to them, it won’t be fast. They did get back to me 2 days later with an email containing a link to the installation instructions. Sent email on aug 6 and got reply on aug 8. Now that it works, it is an absolutely amazing product. I was able to connect it to the park WiFi on our trip and set alerts if it was too hot inside, change temps like my Nest, and the app looks pretty much like the face plate on the thermostat. I do love it.

@@Badmerfer Your RV is a 2021. There were no well built RVs in 2021. Not saying this to be a jerk, but be prepared for a lot more problems. Workers were paid more to stay at home in many cases and RV companies, particularly large corporate run ones like forest river, could not keep experienced builders. The result is virtually every product is of the poorest quality ever by a long shot, all part of “build back better”
