You guys have changed my life once again!!! Watching your videos has inspired me to get out in my RV more, my girlfriend and I just made a 14 hour drive from St.Louis to Gulf Shores for vacation which I’ve never hauled my RV more than a few hours before........ I spent weeks researching how I can get a smart thermostat and never found any promising results then I just laid down after a long 2 days of traveling and you’ve solved my long mystery of getting a smart thermostat!!!!! I ordered myself one before your video was even over for my 27th birthday coming up on Wednesday!!!! Your code worked flawlessly! Thank you guys so much!!!!!

Upgraded our 2 thermostats to Micro Air on our 2013 Phaeton. We’re on our first trip now with them and we love them! Adjust the climate while lying in bed via Bluetooth or the WiFi. Love it!
@danamckittrick21623 жыл бұрын
NOTE: Depending on the thermostat you are replacing, the Micro Air model may come prewired to a white multi wire connector that will mate with the same type connector from the coach’s factory wiring. In that instance it is literally ‘plug and play’. No individual wires to connect. 👍
@danamckittrick21623 жыл бұрын
UPDATE: If your RV is equipped with an Automatic Generator Start (AGS) that will provide backup power in case of a power failure, the Micro Air thermostat will work seamlessly with that function. As you would before, it must be turned on and set to the desired temp and heat or cooling.
@trickyfrenchconnection2928 Жыл бұрын
I have the 2012 Phaeton and it is not a plug and play. Do I need to cut the wires from the motherboard? Also the micro air has connecters on it too?

My first Easy touch thermostat failed in under one year, maybe because it was I think the second one ever installed (May 2020). Screen just blanked out. Luckily I kept my old thermostat in the rig and just reinstalled it. Contacted Micro-Air and they sent me a replacement unit right away. Reinstalled that one and I got the latest unit, so that was good. Kudos to Micro-Air for their support.

I had this thermostat for my 5th wheel, it was the first company to make a wifi bluetooth thermostat for Rv's and it worked very well. The initial setup took a few minutes with the connection and pairing process but otherwise it was great. The price tag for a one of a kind system is high but to be expected. Unfortunately I can't use it anymore as I traded in my RV and it's not compatible with my new Coleman mach system. The system I have is for the Dometic , I removed the thermostat and it's only 2 months old. Now I need to look into the Coleman Mach version.

Hvac tech here ..Regular thermostats absolutely can control multiple heat and ac sources.. most of your modern day thermostats will have an RC and Rh terminal with a jumper factory installed between both terminals . if you remove the jumper and hook up your heat source power wire to rh, and your cooling r wire to rc, that’s running a dual power setup . If you buy a home wi-fi the tstat, that’s powered off batteries and not a 24 volt power source .. it will work fine since the thermostat terminals are open and closed switches and the Batteries are the power source .. no different then having a straight ac system with duct work and a boiler system for heat . One stat can control both . I installed two residential wifi thermostats in my travel trailer without any issues . Works perfect .

great job! I have had mine for about 6 months now works great. in the last several days i have had an error come up AC Freeze Lockout. has anyone else had this error?
@jimevans63113 жыл бұрын
i just got an update from EasyTouch support, this thermostat will give you let you know issues with your AC. If anyone faces this issue here is what support states. This means that the freeze sensor is indicating that your evaporator coil is freezing up and shutting down to prevent damage. Note that this functionality is from the Dometic control board and the thermostat is reporting the state. A temporary solution as you have found is to turn the system off and on, however the root issue must be addressed and best handled by an HVAC technician. Some potential causes: Misplaced sensor Poor airflow Closed registers Dirt/debris on coil Dirty air filter Failing fan assembly Low or mischarged refrigerant (note this should never leak or need recharging) Great Product thanks for Sharing Chad & Tara !!!

I installed one of these maybe 5 months ago. It works fine although I would have liked a better touchpad. I do think they could improve the app. I have an iPhone and to exit the app you swipe up but doing that I often turn off the thermostat because of the location of the off button or change the mode setting or fan setting. If they just put those three settings on top and moved the temperature and wifi/bluetooth to the bottom this won't happen. You can touch those all day long and nothing will happen. I contacted them about this and their answer was there were other ways to exit the app. True. But when you do something for years, changing that habit is difficult and it shouldn't be necessary for me to learn a new methodology. It would be so simple for a software engineer to flip those lines.

I think there is a firmware update that might fix that.. Ours was off initially also. You can update the firmware using the app.

Well I didn’t purchase these yet, was just wondering how accurate they are since my original ones are terrible at measuring the inside temp so I was going to replace my OEM ones with these if they do a better job maintaining the temp I have set.
