Awesome bugger, when nothing is working I can always count on catching some fish with these types of flies. Thanks

It still works - caught a mess of rainbows out of Lake Granby with a brown version last weekend. Thanks for the idea!

Hi Watched the video. Yes! I did enjoy it and thank you for taking the time to edit it. I really like the idea of using the dubbing instead of Antron body, also I think I’m going to do what you do with the flashabou. Do each side separately. Really like that way. Thanks really learned something from your video. All the best David

Thanks for the great tutorial. I'm new to euro fishing. Tying them is rewarding and educational...catching fish is a huge bonus. Amazing pattern, tight ljnes.

Could be really intersting to tie some with inverting tungsten beads to balance them. A near perfect dead sculpin

Great fly. Thanks for posting this video. I will be tying up this fly in various colors to try on big Bluegill and Shellcrackers here in Texas. U.S. Army, (ret)

Nice Tie Bud...great proven pattern!..may I suggest when dubbing your thread twist the dubbing clockwise on your thread...it will want to naturally tighten as you wrap your your body and create a tighter thinner noodle as you wrap. Looking forward to watching more of your stuff !
@TroutFreak3 жыл бұрын
Ha! Yeah I do know that but I just "naturally" dub the other way, and when I'm recording and narrating it just completely gets forgotten 🤣😂

Nice! Curious why you didn’t reinforce the hackle with wire or some other material. Thanks.
@TroutFreak2 жыл бұрын
No reason specifically, some patterns I'll add tippet or xs wire to reinforce hackle, especially ones with longer abdomens. But IMO a smaller fly like this doesn't need it. If it catches me 1-2 fish, the fly has done it's job 🙌 But by all means, if you want to add tippet, go for it!

I see your using Togen hooks & beads, how long did it take to get your order? Since they relocated the shipping to Alberta is extremely slow…

It swims upside down? Do I need a jig hook or can I tie it on a standard nymph hook?
@TroutFreak2 жыл бұрын
Hi Thomas, this specific pattern, yes,want to swim upside down and fish it with a jigging motion. However, you can definitely tie it on a standard hook and would pretty much be a small woolly bugger 🙌
